Royce white the biggest weirdo ever 😭. Dude spent campaign funds on jewelry and strip clubs… then when confronted about it in an interview, he responded “STRIP CLUBS HAVE AMAZING WINGS” and called the interviewer David Pakman a racist. it was hysterical.

It was clear early on he struggled to maintain mental stability. Combined with a typical athlete ego it felt like he lived on a different planet. That story of him just deciding he was done with the g league and driving to Houston to tell them he's on the big team, blew my mind as a young Rockets fan

So was Morey. I’m not trying to be too political but it is funny how players and the league will support things like the BLM movement (makes sense, most players are black and it’s happening in the United States) but say nothing about China because it will affect the league’s bottom line. The league is basically sending the message that you can be politically active, but don’t be “too” (wink wink) politically active.

38:34 "His career was in Jeopardy" Cousins could have set himself and his family up with at least a small fortune incase basketball AFTER the Pelicans turned into what it did. Even AFTER the injury the Pelicans offered him a 2 year 40 million dollar deal and he turned it down. Instead like you said he signed a 1 year 5 million dollar deal with the warriors I guess betting on himself to land a big contract after that year. That was just a mistake. His reputation already has prevented any team from wanting to do that so him thinking that could happen made no sense. Dude could have been 35 million dollars richer had he just taken the Pelicans offer. Just a dumb decision especially considering he could have used those 2 years to really showcase that he's still a top dawg in the league since obviously he would have been used as a focal point along side AD instead of just being an after thought on a stacked Warriors team. Bro really thought he was gonna get a max deal from someone. Oh well.

I grew up stupid in a small town and said all types of slurs out of ignorance. I learned that maybe talking like that is not good the hard way, too. Leonard seems like he made amends and learned, which is all people should expect when someone says something hateful, especially for a young man in his position. Just bc you're an NBA player doesn't mean you can get away with it. Unless you're Kobe, no disrespect.

@@slightexag I doubt he didn't know it was a slur and I'm glad he was held to task. Some people don't really know the severity of that slur specifically and need to learn why it's unacceptable. Imagine making it to the NBA and signing a huge contract and making millions for playing a game. Then you still have the gall to cry like babies. A lot of these men needed a father.

Dion's nickname was "kobewade".. and it was more tongue in cheek, than something that anyone (including waiters) took seriously.. dions out of the league due to injuries.. piece of bone from his hip was used in his ankle surgery. We forget, he was on the Lakers for the bubble run (nickname then was philly cheese).. his game was different due to the injury.. zero explosiveness and couldn't really get by defenders. Wasnt the same.. that's why he s not on a roster.. if you're truly good, you get picked up.

All of these cases were unfair for the most part. Rauf was a problem basketball wise in the league but he was openly anti patriotic. He would be a legend in Todays social climate. But still unfair. Jr rider was banned because he smoked bud which is legal today in most parts. They also added “kidnapping his SON” lmaooo. That was clearly bm drama. Unfair to him. Kanter situation similar to rauf. Opinion differs from the current agenda so it’s a casualty.nba shouldn’t be religious colorist racist at all and just because people think differently they shouldn’t be shushed. The people can formulate an opinion on their own. Boogie is an all nba super draymond. The kings could not handle him.

he's a psycho christian who was a raging homophobe with the warriors. it's not a race thing. the number of black coaches in the league is the highest it's ever been and plenty deserved a shot over a guy with an established character issue

White coach wouldnt be able to pull any of the shit Jackson pulled lmao... maybe in the 70s or maybe in the 80s man but not in modern nba Monta Ellis had more to do with Stephs development than Jackson ever did.😅

Meyers Leonard would be a great back up big for any team needing size. I believe anyone should get a second chance, for why he was let go from Milwaukee is a loss on me. He should get picked up and it probably wouldn't cost any franchise much to get him either.

i like how for every other story you tried to stay neutral (supposedly), not giving any opinion on Kanters activism or even the reason why Rauf sat for the anthem, but then for Meyers Leonard you start complaining about "cancel culture" where unlike Kanter & Rauf he said something bigoted. mine you i think he should've gotten a proper second chance too

Imo basketball is the best sport by far, but the league that represents it gotta be the most hypocritical sport out of them all bru😭. They support all this social issues and wtv tf but let a player speak abt China in any negative way and they’ll doing the most cringy press conference ever. I’ll never forget Harden saying he loves China for no fucking reason.
