This became obvious to me during the decade of The Apprentice when they changed their policy to women against men competing for a job working for the trump. The men quickly formed a team and began working together while the women started comparing each other’s careers and sabotaging each other’s efforts.

When Taurasi says “we all went through it“, she’s making the clear statement that she- and everyone else that plays in the WNBA- - - is a twin of Kaitlyn Clark (in ability, and outstanding plays). As she views it, there is nothing that Caitlyn is doing that is exceptional or outstanding. “We all went through it. “ B.S. It is clear there has never been anyone in the WNBA/women’s basketball like Caitlyn Clark. If there were such a person, at this point, we would all know her name. What we do know for certain it sure as heck is not Diana Taurasi. That person seems small and very b- - - - y. One can hope they will stop interviewing her. It only gives her an opportunity to gratuitously insult and sideswipe CC.

Lol The first time I heard of DT was when CC said she looked up to her when she was growing up. Obv I hadnt been a W fan, but still. And how f'ing crude of a bitch for DT to treat an admirer of hers like that, who gave DT far more credit than she deserves.

Sheryl needs to look up the definitions of 'racism' and she will learn that she is wrong and self satisfying her own opinions. It is such pettiness and ignorance that is holding the WNBA back. Just when many people were gaining interest in the WNBA teams and players, the negativity, apparent jealousy, and turned us off. And those individuals like Swoops only have themselves to blame (if they were honest with themselves). I sometimes think it would be good for Caitlin to distance herself from the WNBA and let them wallow in their own mud. But, I suspect Caitlin has too much respect for the majority of WNBA players and will hang in there. Personally I believe she deserves better. If you can't be honest with yourself, how can you be honest with others? It is my hope that individuals like Swoops and a few others will look at comments such as mine and rather than become defensive, become a bit humble and try cheering on 'all' other players. I believe they will see miraculous changes. Finally, Sheryl should realize that the commotion she and a handful of others are causing, along with undeniable stats, are a good part of why Clark has gained in popularity. I say wise up and make the world a better place.

If Sheryl Swoopes is such a fantastic basketball player why didn't she record 62 records during her rookie year? She hasn't done that in her entire career. And Shery Swoopes definitely shows her ignorance when she says black people can't be racist. This is all about racism and nothing else.

Most others just gloss over the events/facts/dialog, etc. Here it is presented in a way the makes so much sense and leaves nothing to guess about. It doesn't jump around trying to "splash" headlines and quotes in attempt to seem like a job well done. Not here! I'm happy to subscribe to this site. Swoops did not vote for Angel, she can't vote at all. The person that did vote was coerced by Aja Wilson........ Aja did not want CC getting 100%ROTY as it would ruin her career standing, This is all about racism people, and it's not the fans causing it either, there are a few players who are inciting a racism war within the WNBA, we all know these players as they are making their dislike for CC known, this did not start with fans, but it was hoped that fans would pick up and carry the hate banner for these players. The only way that works is if we the fans give in to manipulation by these players. I refuse to be told who i can support or like, don't be misled by the players crying wolf.

I'm really tired of pretending that it's only her amazing talent, relentless drive, and basketball IQ that makes me respect Caitlin Clark. Here are some other things that attract me, and many other casual fans. She's white (there, I said it). She's from the Midwest, Des Moines to be exact. She hasn't covered herself with tattoos. Whatever her personal, private beliefs are, she doesn't trumpet them across her social media. She's straight, with a boyfriend (however long that lasts). She expresses herself with grace and humility, seemingly trying to make press conferences as dull as possible by deflecting praise and complimenting her teammates instead. She looks at her stardom as a kind of hindrance. Long story short, she looks and acts like me (only female and probably acts a little better than I do). If representation (players or actors looking like you) is important for other races, then it's okay for white people, too. We can see ourselves and our values in her. We don't see the things we can't relate to: woke, black, lesbian, angry, shrill, petty, self-promoting, and tiresome. She's a breath of fresh air for a lot of people. And we're all going to have to wait many months to feel it again. I personally can't wait to see what a well-rested Caitlin Clark does to the rest of the league.
