Swiss Challenge Watch Part 2 (Victoronix Swiss Army Divemaster 500)

So i have finally got around to finishing off my little challenge series were i went out and found a Swiss made watch for under £200. In this video i fix the dial, get a strap on it and give my final thought.
Quick summary, i found a lovely Victoronix Divemaster 500 which was use and had a broken dial. I won the auction. When i got it was over the moon, tested the movement and found i was in need of a service but was working well. Just needed the dial fixing and new strap.
Did i win the challenge, well yes and no. Yes i feel like i have got a great watch, was £1200 new and picked up £1040 less than that. No because i have since found out you can get a brand new Swiss made watch with a ETA movement for less than £150. I have bought one and will be doing a review as soon as it lands :)

I have the same watch as you but with a blue dial and blue rubber strap. I bought it when me and my wife were in New York a few years ago. I also have the same watch in titanium with a quartz movement, both very nice watches.

I envy you the talent, and especially the eyesight quality, to be able to do this. Wish I could have learned this skill set 10 or 15 years ago. The extent of my abilities is changing straps, bracelets, sizing bracelets, battery changes, and bezel changes. Pity I can't do more. Enjoyed the video.

You cannot be that old? You can get magnifying glasses or other apparatus to view things up even closer.

Thanks and you are never too old ;). Right up my street doing this sort of thing. This was very simple but doing full movement stripdowns and builds just amaze me. Just how many parts there is and all machined to profection just to tell the time. Also means you can pick up some right deals and fix them yourself :)

Quick question, the bezel paint on my Seiko beater has worn off. The numbers etc were black now worn off and now just showing the metal numbers. Can you buy a product to refill them? Thanks

Yeah i use enamel paint as well. Am going to try powder but that involves heating the part up. :)
