In this video, I review the Swiss Gear backpack that I got from Costco. We walk through all the various features that this backpack has, including the ability to hold up to a 17" laptop.

Great review! Covered so many things I was interested in but couldnt find answers to online! Saw this and immediately swang by my local sams club and got one on sale for 40$! Im already excited to use it, I put all the stuff in the two bags I used to carry around into it and its only like 40% full!

I have a older version of that bag, I owned it for 8 yrs and they are really nice bags.. A great for a few nights of travel bag.

I have the black and red one . I use it as my gym bag . I use the laptop area for a change of clothing

I love that these backpacks can be used for a variety of things.

Backpacks for large laptops are a category in their own. This looks like a very suitable option. And affordable too. The sunglasses case is a very nice addition. With prescription sunglasses, the extra safety is very much welcomed. I love backpacks And my taste is usually on the higher price range. For the price, this one seems to have a lot of the high end features and will be as functional as more expensive bags. And one might care a little less when the bag gets damaged a little. With my bags I already worry about dust or sand getting in 😉

You’re welcome. When I travel with it, I have it completely stuffed full. It fits under the seat, but I have to force it. The overhead bins are usually full on the flights, and I don’t want to have to check this bag. So I push it under the seat with my foot. However, if the bag isn’t packed correctly, it could damage the contents inside.

I heard the zippers open on their own. Have you had this problem?

Normally they don’t open on their own. However, if you do have the backpack fully loaded, the weight of the stuff in the front pockets will cause the back pockets to slowly open. I keep small TSA padlocks on each set of zippers for security. I found this out when I forgot to put a lock on my checked luggage at the airport and used one from my backpack. I was walking through the terminal and heard the awful sound of my iPad, which was in the very back pocket, go flying down the concourse. Luckily it’s fine, but now I make sure to always have locks on the zippers.

You’re welcome. I would think it’s fairly normal unless you had a backpack that the zippers frequently get stuck. When my backpack is fully loaded for travel, it weighs about 20-25 pounds. To me it makes sense that 20+ pounds of weight pulling at two zippers is bound to make the zippers open. Shoot, after a heavy meal, my dress zippers sometimes don’t even stand a chance. Lol
