Beautiful Wonderful Swissair! I so wish they were still operating, they were Excellent! Swiss International (LX) is okay, can be a bit hit and miss, but Swissair (SR) we’re unbeatable. If only their management had not made those STUPID decisions concerning Sabena and just concentrated on their own already fabulous profitable airline. I loved their DC-10s and B747s the most, particularly when they had the Milk and Dark chocolate cheat lines livery. Very smart. I’d love to know why the B747-200s in the 70s had the 'bandit mask' over the flight deck windows, SAA had a similar design. The rationale behind it has always intrigued me but I have never been able to find out why.

swiss air got bankrupt in 2002 after the swiss air md 11 crashed due to a fire

But that wasn't the main reason the airline went bankrupt. It was mostly a chain of bad business choices.
