I’m looking at a similarly styled bag from Target, and the laptop storage isnin the same spot, but I think of that as a safety feature; if you’re wearing the bag, you laptop is against you, and the straps are in the way, which means thieves looking for an easy score might move along to the next person.

Hey thanks! They are the Muji Small packing cubes, which measure 20cm x 26cm x 10cm.

What is the travel backpack, and a link? I am looking at the Getaway 18.5 for a trip, is the 18.5 version? We are doing a summer trip, great for adding that comment.

How did the bag hold up over time?

Hi, I know this is a very late response, but I'm still using this bag, it's been my go to bag ever since I made this video. It's held up marvelously, especially for such a cheap bag. I've taken it to Asia multiple times, and all across the US, and I've yet to see any serious signs of wear.

Do you think a compression packing cube would work better?

I do think compression packing cubes would have given me a bit more room. I've not actually used them, though, so I can't really say just how much extra room I would have had, and if it would have been enough to pack extra stuff.
