As a Playstation and Nintendo fan... I think Nintendo should stick to what's good at... Giving us fun games that everyone can play and live for years... but we also might want new remakes or sequels of our favorite og nintendo games like F-zero gx, Mario Sunshine, Star fox 64, .ect. 2017 = Breath of the Wild, Mario Odyssey and Xenoblade 2. Three of my all time favourite games to this day. Plus there were 3rd party games like Nier Automata and Perspna 5 that I skipped due being released in close proximity with Botw. But when they were eventually ported to Switch I got to experience those games and they were amazing as well. 2017 felt like a magical year and if the Switch 2 can give me half of that feeling I would be hyped.

Best way to get the screens onto your computer is to just pop out the SD card once a year and put them in a SD card reader into your computer and save them, then delete from the card. You then get TONS of more space, or at least I do because I take so many screens and videos lol

As a Star Fox life long fan since the 90's, I hope for a lot of new games/media. The "leaked" rumor is that its suppose to be made in house and a sequel to one of the previous games, so it would take place between 2 of them. I'd love a game similar to starfox assault but a better multiplayer, and im still a major supporter of a starfox warriors and that it would be canon, smooth gameplay and tons of replayability. I keep thinking about the C Button and how it could be used. I really hope that it is a “Cast” button, maybe dubbed SwitchCast, allowing the Switch2 to stream video to the dock, another Switch2, and other devices. By streaming to the dock it can mirror the handheld to the TV, enable two screen gameplay, and enhance playing DS and 3DS games. It could stream to other Switches, so you could play a multiplayer game with a friend even if they don’t have a copy of the game. In the future it could stream to a VR peripheral while docked to enable cordless VR that competes with Meta Quest. I think a SwitchCast feature would make Switch2 stand out from the recent handheld hybrid competition and adds value in various ways.

Metroid Prime in its current form wasn't in development for 7 years. It was clearly communicated that they restarted the project with a new team. So to say "show us why it took 7 years to make this game" is either extremely disingenuous or grossly incompetent. I can't believe he says something like this and no one in the panel challenges it. 🤦‍♂️

All I want is Pokemon Legends ZA and Metroid Prime 4 before I can retire from gaming for good. Things took a dreadful direction for gaming lately, and I feel that it has become only hurtful to me (especially ever since that darn robot appeared and destroyed everything Nintendo has built in 40 years). The sole reason I'm still here, is because I REALLY want to play Pokemon Legends ZA (the follow up of the only Pokemon game I loved after the DS era, and I speak as a fan of the series since the GB era), and Metroid Prime 4 (no way I'm leaving this one behind after waiting it for over 7 years), knowing their release dates is all I need, I don't really care about anything else, from Nintendo or any other developer. But as long Nintendo keeps being deadly silent about them, I'm forced to endure this dreadful torture... I REALLY hope that by the next two months, they reveal their release dates, I can't stand how many games I have to heart are becoming hated over really petty reasons...

My big hope for this gen is that more big Nintendo devs get it through their head that not everyone has a local buddy to play couch co-op with and that there's a market for playing together online. Games like Tropical Freeze, Yoshi's Crafted World and especially Return to Dreamland Deluxe definitely should have had online co-op. Otherwise, my biggest hopes are for a new mainline Animal Crossing, new 3D Mario, a new Paper Mario, a new Yoshi game that doesn't suck and an updated Smash Ultimate with better online. Would also love some more fun (but not necessarily pvp) online games to play with friends.

I have an excellent idea for a Super Mario 3D (and 2D) game: Super Mario X Wario Land All-Stars (Similar to the idea of Sonic X Shadow Generations where there is 3D and 2D levels) (Nintendo may also try to revive the Wario Land series and Wario World that way). Just a thought, but this sounds like a good idea for Nintendo to follow. Keep in mind that we are now in Super Mario's 40th Anniversary, so it is Nintendo's time to put in more work to celebrate Mario and his role as our memorable video game character. Like how Sega put time to celebrate Shadow (and Sonic) in 2024, the same Nintendo would do for Mario (and if Nintendo would revive Wario Land since there are some that miss Wario Land series (and Wario World), this would be the best way to go).

I think it's a mid-summer release. I agree on a new pro controller along with the Joycons. I think they'll need at minimum a $75 difference between Switch 2 and the OLED. I think any model drops depend on that actual screen going into Switch 2. I could see price drops and a silent phasing out of models. I could see a Pro model at launch depending on base model specs. Revamped NSO lineup with new systems and maybe a buy/rent/tier setup. Probably a few apps like music, NSO, new version of Miiverse, ect... Launch titles: NEW 3D Mario. Mario Kart X--they'll need a killer multiplayer app out at launch. I could see a new Animal Crossing at launch or within the first month. NEW IP. Within the first year.... Collections/remasters? --Smash? Smash Ultimate Upgrade? NEW game? --There are a lot of big games that don't run smooth on Switch so.... upgrades? No NEW BIG Zelda till 2 years out. Metroid Prime 4 feels like a Cross-gen title. Its time titles: Star Fox, ExciteBike/Truck/Bots, Push/Crashmo, F-Zero, Wave Race Will ARMS get a sequel?

A couple of impossible ports would go along way to recreating the hype Switch 1 had. Elden Ring, Cyberpunk 2077, Black Myth Wukong, FFVII Remake, Doom Dark Ages, etc. While I'll play a lot of the big Nintendo franchises they don't get me excited about Switch 2 like I will be seeing big 3rd party ports get announced.

33:45 With what little we do know about the "successor to the Nintendo Switch"... I think we might have another "New Nintendo 3DS" situation, where it was viewed as more of an upgrade instead of a new console. We just got a few things like bigger display, better 3D tracking, C-stick and ZL/ZR buttons, faster eShop download speeds and Amiibo support. There were very few games that were exclusive to the New Nintendo 3DS (basically just ones that required more power or larger display), with a lot of base 3DS titles still being released that could utilize the C-stick, Amiibo and ZL/ZR buttons (ex. Majora's Mask and Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate as New 3DS launch titles, that both used C-stick for camera). Which is to say... I think in the short-term, Nintendo is going to focus on games that either require the additional power or use the new features, but I imagine that we'll still see a lot of Switch games that just have improved features & performance on the successor. The only way I see it being a huge blowout is if there's a huge game-changing gimmick, like the patents we saw for detachable screens, in which case they'd want to show that off.

You launch with 3D Mario, save Mario Kart for holidays. Right when the console releases, not everyone is gonna be able to get one right away, so that’s less people to play multiplayer with at first. So, you have a big single player game instead. That’s why they launched the Switch with BOTW. When the holidays roll around, WAYYYYY more people will now have Switch 2’s, and now there will be people to play multiplayer with.

Sony and Microsoft discontinued PS4 Pro and Xbox One X when PS5 and Series S/X came out. The move is to get rid of the premium model of the old console when you put out the next generation. The casual consumers who will still buy the old thing won't care about getting the better system, otherwise they'd just get Switch 2.

Very few people bought those PS and XB premium models. 80% of sales remained the base model. The OLED is just a nicer Switch anyway, not a "Pro" with 4k graphics and costing 50% more, and a variant that Nintendo could escape with charging a little bit more it. It's also the dominant sales model, and ordinarily would have replaced the original Switch as the default model if conditions justified it. In a sense, the OLED is the default model now. All the deals I saw in the past months were for it, while trying to buy an original Switch often cost more. I can see Nintendo completely withdrawing the original Switch from the market and only manufacture the OLED, much like when New 3DS arrived and replaced the 3DS. They might have already stopped manufacturing the original model already, and it's just old stock on shelves.

Because historically Nintendo has done March. However Sony and Microsoft have done November right before the holiday season. Personally I think March/earlier in the year is smarter because it creates 2 buying frenzies, the launch frenzy and then the holiday frenzy where as Sony and Microsoft releasing during the holiday season puts both the launch hype crowd and the holiday shopper crowd together competing for stock ultimately resulting in less sales as people who just want a console for their kid aren't going to be able to compete to get one.

Here are my predictions for this year! Switch 2 Announcement at the end of this month or in mid February Mario Kart 9 and an experimental or tech demo-like game (think Wii sports or 1-2 Switch) as launch titles for Switch 2 in June or July Wind Waker HD, it'll be later in the year, maybe August or October. I think Twilight Princess will get a full on remake a few years down so we'll have to wait for that. I seriously think a new Star Fox game is likely. And of course, a new 3D Mario for November as their holiday title this year! Based on how the playtest was, I bet we'll see some sort of massive online multiplayer game this year as well. That's what I got! What do you think?

Well 2024 was alright I guess since we got a new Mario Party game which is Super Mario Party Jamboree and we have the comebacks of both the Mario and Luigi series and Epic Mickey. But I know I was hoping that last year we would get both remakes of Kirby Triple Deluxe and Kirby Planet Robobot in a two-pack Collection and also having a remake of Tomodachi Life to come to Switch last year but it never happened and it's sad that we didn't get DLC for Super Mario Bros Wonder. So my predictions for 2025 are seeing what Switch 2 is finally gonna look like, Getting some new Mario Stuff and Games for Mar10 Day and Mario's 40th Anniversary like the next 3D Mario, Mario Kart 9 or X, Luigi's Mansion 4, A new Wario Land Game, a new Donkey Kong, a new Yoshi game, a sequel or a new Mario Super Sluggers, and a new Paper Mario game. They can show us what the next 3D Kirby game the sequel for Kirby and the Forgotten Land of what it's going to be like and maybe we could see King Dedede, Meta Knight, and (for the first time ever for being Kirby's new Allies) Clawroline and Elfilin being playable characters to go along with Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee and giving us new copy abilities and upgrades, new mouthful modes, and new lands to explore. They can show us that fake leaked 2D Kirby Game Kirby and the Celestial Star and telling us who this Susie-related Kirby female character Polly about how she got here and meet Kirby and if she is Susie's sister or something. We can get new games like Donkey Kong, Wario, Yoshi, Star Fox, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, and Punch-Out but I don't know. And I know a HD remake of Kirby Planet Robobot is coming to Switch next year but I'm not gonna buy it unless they can add Kirby Triple Deluxe with Kirby Planet Robobot and make it a two-pack Collection so then we would have all the Modern Kirby Games in one console so that would make me happy if they do that next year. And I do hope we get to see a remake or a sequel for Tomodachi Life come to Nintendo Switch and adding the Miitopia Mii Maker in it so then we would have both Miitopia and Tomodachi Life on Switch now that would be cool for next year. But yeah I hope this year will be good for Nintendo since they will show the next console the Switch 2 and do something special for Mario's 40th Anniversary so I can't wait to see what they're gonna do for this year I can't wait. And also I can't wait for GameCube to come to NSO

My predictions for this one seemingly hinted at game by Nintendo. Ice Climber Switch will shadowdrop on Ice Climber's 40th anniversary (Thursday, January 30, 2025). It will be a $20 eShop exclusive. It will be made by HAL Laboratory and/or Masahiro Sakurai. (The timing is right for the game Sakurai said he started on in 2022.) It will play similarly to a Donkey Kong Country game where you have both Popo and Nana playing for both one player and two players. They'll have hammer and ice movesets similar to Kirby and Super Smash Bros. There will be forty levels, four levels apiece on ten mountains. Each of the ten mountains will have a boss that's a vegetable from the NES Ice Climber bonus stages. Four of each of those same vegetables will be collectibles. I'm also hoping for collectible parka colors in the style of Kirby and the Amazing Mirror and subgames like in any Kirby game, maybe Ice Climber Deluxe, Vs. Ice Climber Deluxe and a snowball shooting gallery.

Dear GamXplain, I would appreciate it if you help me deliver this to Nintendo. It’s the ideas for the Sequel Movie of the Super Mario Bros. Read all of it. Also, I would like you all to sign this petition too. I got some ideas about this sequel movie that I want to give to Nintendo. It’s on this petition that I would like all of you to sign. Here’s the plot: It’s about this: After Toadsworth is awake and is going to reveal both the Mario Bros., the Mario Bros’ father, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong & his dad, all of the Kongs, Spike, Pauline and all of the people of Brooklyn something underneath Peach’s Castle. Toadsworth shows an underground mural that shows 2 brave knights vanquishing the Evil Koopa Clan and eventually the evil aliens known as shroobs, protecting the Mushroom Kingdom and its rulers. Toadsworth tells the crew that those 2 knights were actually some of the Mario Bros’ ancestors. I believed that after I studied some Deviantart pictures and the series of Yoshis’ Island. The Mario Bros’ father had then protected the Mushroom Kingdom too and kept that legacy a secret from those 2 and pretended he didn’t protect the land yet make fun of the height of his 2 sons and getting the job as plumbers. There’s more to tell about the mural which is about Princess Peach herself, about her parents and her ancestors were actually rulers of the Mushroom Kingdom. One fateful day when the shroobs and the koopas were stealing the Mushroom Kingdom while Princess Peach was yet to be born, her parents moved to the real world and have their champion, the Mario Bros.’ father himself, led the militia to vanquish the enemy while his wife (Mario’s mother) and Toadsworth moved the 2 baby Mario Bros. to the real world in Brooklyn. Both the Mario Bros, Mario & Luigi (Present), Donkey Kong, Princess Peach, and all the others couldn’t believe all of this. Princess Peach then apologized to Mario for doubting him and his height when they first met in the present day. He and his brother, Luigi, couldn’t believe they were fated to carry such a heavy destiny that involves protecting the Mushroom Kingdom from the Evil Koopas and their leader, King Bowser Koopa himself, fighting for Justice. All of the Mushroom Kingdom’s citizens, guards and council apologized to the Mario Bros too for not recognizing them as the descendants of those champions. Meanwhile, Bowser had escaped with the help of Kamek and his Koopalings including Bowser Jr. Bowser remembered where he heard the names Mario and Luigi. It was back when he was a kid when Kamek was trying to steal the Mario Bros when they were babies under the watchful eye of the Yoshis. Kamek had no choice but to use his memory spell on Bowser back then and now Bowser ordered Kamek to never use that spell again. Back at the Mushroom Kingdom, the Mario Bros. remembered that it was Yoshi, who somehow we all seen in the post credits after the 1st movie, who was responsible for keeping an eye on those 2 back when they were babies besides Toadsworth. The mural also shows 2 more knights who fought along side the Mario Bros’ ancestors, who were kind of rouge. It’s the ancestors of Wario and Waluigi. They wanted to be with the 2 heroes, working together to stop Bowser. Yoshi wanted to help the Mario Bros as well to stop Bowser just like in their past with his usual powers: his tongue, throwing eggs, and so on. A 3rd thing that the mural has is the Mario Bros’ and Wario Bros’ ancestors left behind a few gates that leads to special trials all over the Mushroom Kingdom that their descendants must face ahead of them. One of the Trials awaits the Mario Bros in Sarashaland, guarded by some of the soldiers who belong to Sarashaland’s Princess - Daisy, Princess Peach’s childhood friend. Daisy is so so happy to see Peach again and joined the crew on this quest. Once both the Mario Bros passed all of the trials, only then the champions’ descendants which are none other than Mario and Luigi of the Mario Bros. including Wario and Waluigi will be recognized by the citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom as descendants of those champions. The 2 and other 2 accepted those trials. After passing all of the trials and obtaining spiritual growth, Mario and Luigi are rewarded with powers that enhances themselves and their clothes, including really powerful hammers that can destroy all Evil. Another reward is that all of the Super Stars including that one in that movie we saw has been upgraded with purity so that those stars can only be used for Good, knowing that Bowser wanted that Star all for himself and his dark purposes and our heroes including their ancestors couldn’t let those stars fall into the wrong hands. That’s why those Stars have been upgraded in order to only be used for the side of Justice. For Wario and Waluigi, they will have all the treasure they can get from Bowser’s vault if they succeed in kicking his butt. What do you think of this idea?
