Doesn't it bother you that the switch access settings design is different from the phone settings?

Thank you for this. Could you please allow developers to manipulate these events with ADB? It's a tool right there just waiting for developers to use and it means we can use the phone without putting it in a weird state. I have example code but as an external developer it comes out as a bit of a hack because I don't have access to the relevant APIs.

Please tell me how to get to the switch access option? I've looked under accessibility settings and it is not there. I have a Google Pixel 7 using an Android system. It is just not there

IIRC they split it off from the standard accessibility suite, so you may need to download it off Google Play?

Hopefully you figured it out but replying just in case for you and others having similar issues: I have a Google Pixel 7 Pro running Android 14. Here are two ways: 1. The easiest way is to go to your device settings and using the search bar and search for "switch access." On the search results list, the option is listed in the Accessibility section. 2. The manual way. Open device settings, scroll down to Accessibility, and tap/click it. The accessibility page is split up into sections. Scroll down to the "Interaction controls" section and inside it there should be "Switch Access." On my phone it has a green logo of a switch with an arrow pointing from the left button to the right button. In both cases, you should see the same screen as you see in 1:09. If you still don't see it, are you running a custom mod of the OS? I'm using stock Android and, as of today July 2024, you should see the option.

In trying to remove a weird chrome page zoom thing, I found out about Switch Access. So I found it, ticked the slider, and now it's GONE. Like, I don't even have switch access on my phone anymore. Searching settings, accessibility, nothing. O.o Halp!! I need to get my triple tap to zoom back! O.o

I love android but it's implementation of switch access is terrible. Try to tell the devs, they're not interested.
