To answer Pat's question, "the year of the panda 88" is indeed referring to the Toledo Zoo. They had pandas that year for the first time. My parents took me when I was around five and I still have a small panda figure.

First of all, Pat and Ian I want to say I got the biggest smile on my face seeing you get the goodies I sent you. Secondly, I know all about the death of WCW, I was there too. I'm 33 man haha. You mentioned the finger poke of Doom and I saw that happen live that night and that pretty much killed any interest in WCW I had moving forward. I was a WWF guy after that. Death of WCW is one of my favorite wrestling books. I didnt explain it properly, but the t-shirt that Ian got is reference to when the Toledo Zoo had Pandas in 1988. Unfortunately, I did not get to see the Pandas b/c I was born that year. I think it might actually be something that was sold at the Zoo at the time. If you guys ever get a chance to visit Toledo, come see the Zoo, it's awesome. One of my favorite things in the Toledo area. I hope you guys enjoy the candy and I didnt know the multi-flavor packs of the Swedish fish were rare. We have them at my work and if I send you guys stuff in the future, that'll be my go-to for Ian candies.

So wikipedia says that was in the Cantebury tales. It's called "The Summoners tale" it's about a friar who goes around begging for money and he enters this one farmhouse and annoys the peasant there by telling him stories. The peasant then agrees to pay for him if the friar could divide it equally for 12 other friars. The friar agrees to this and goes behind this peasant and the peasant let's out this huge fart. The Friar is annoyed since he now has to figure out how to divide that for 12 other friars. Then a squire tells him how to do it: take a cart wheel, and tell each of the 12 friars to lay his nose at the end of the spoke. Then this Friar could sit in the center of this wheel and fart. That way each of the spokes would carry a smell along the rim thus dividing it between each of the friars. That's what says in the nutshell. I shortened it because you can just read the story or something but I hope that clears it out. Sadly they didn't realize they could sell those farts. The wonders of the 22nd century.

I think the power items like lightning are way too common in Mario kart 8. I’m completely okay with items being a comeback mechanic so people in last place still have a chance, but it’s not fun for me to get hit by lightning every 20 seconds. It’s bad enough that if you’re in the middle of the pack it’s sometimes a good idea to intentionally slow down and go to last place so you can try to get ahead with power items.

Mario Kart 8 is perfection for casual play, but for competitive play it's basically worthless. Altho competitive players can still play Wii if they want to so it's not a huge loss

Wow a Toledo care package! Yes Toledo has a zoo. I remember visiting it when the pandas came.Cant recall their names but there were two of them and I use to have one of those panda shirts but mine was red. Wow what a flashback!

I was also interested to see this. I personally thought the Switch was a dumb concept before it came out. Now at this point it is firmly my favorite console of all time. Great first party games, great ports of first party games, great 3rd party support. I always own up to the fact that I thought it was going to fail.

seriously though all bs and joking aside. you guys grew up alot over the last year. I frequently watch TVGY's when i cant find anything else interesting. seriously once a week atleast i watch one year. because of it i follow roo, john, eric, ito and all you guys, except crazy tommy t. it was funny to see you and ian getting frustrated at each other and you could see the tension at some points but the whole 12 years came together well and the fact that you got warshaw, philips, robinson, was really nice touch. i give ian mad props for his pinball knowledge and pat definately knows his stuff too. Roo played a great resident nerd and professor in the series, and i realize it is expensive to organize and produce and it may be out of your comfort zones, but i would love to see you tackle the 90;s and id gladly buy munk bars or join a kickstarter if it progresses the idea. keep it up and get more subs. love ya boys, please help control the scumbag population and have your amicos spade and neutered......carry on and congrats on the milestone

Online Mario kart 8 on wii u was probably best gaming experience i ever had, wen you get over 10000 ranking it was soooo good, i wish they had put the item display on screen instead of gamepad could of been even better, gave it another level of strategy

It would be lame if Nintendo turn Mario Kart into Nintendo Kart, that's like turning Mario Golf, Mario Tennis, and Mario Party into Nintendo Golf, Nintendo Tennis, and Nintendo Party. Turning every thing Mario into Nintendo would lose the Mario charm of those games eventually. I hope Nintendo just kept the Mario Kart the same as it always does but add new ideas to the racing mechanic instead just doing more lame crossovers.

Switch Passing Wii in Sales is not surprising considering that some people will have at least 2 Switches (others like Australia's AustinPlays will have even more) for Animal Crossing (having different Monday to Saturday turnips prices for both islands) and Pokemon (Trading version exclusives between one self).

I feel like Switch is a bit of an odd duck for sales numbers. the Lite only sold like 15%-20% of overall units, but its so cheap compared to the other main line consoles that when you're talking 100 million units, thats not nothing -- and then I know so many people that have bought more than 1 Switch. Especially with a Lite on the side. i dont know a single person who bought more than 1 PS4 or Xbox Series X in my friend group. I know they exist. And for Xbox 360 and the red ring im sure that inflated sales as people replaced their Xbox. And Pro sold a few million units with a good chunk of them as upgrades to current owners I bet? But I feel like the OLED screen Switch had way more upgraded owners who already owned one already. Probably already more than the entire life of the PS4 Pro. I know people who did a launch ,then a special edition ,then a Lit,e and now want the OLED. So like 4 sales for one console. Or my niece lost hers, we replaced it. I know people with a Switch for them, a Switch for their wife, and then 2 Lites for their kids. Kind of like some people own 16 gameboys - always made me feel the cheaper priced gameboy numbers are a bit over inflated compared to more expensive home consoles, where your more limited by how many TVs you have. When really unique users is more important than units sold (but much harder to track).

I think Mario Kart 8 is massively overrated. It's a fine game and a fun time, but at the end of the day it's just another Mario Kart game with no real innovation and nothing to set it apart other than volume of content. It's by no means a perfect game (no such thing as a perfect game), there are several non-Mario kart racers I enjoy more, and even a few Mario Karts I enjoy more than 8. It's also a "current" game that has been around for so long that some people will have nostalgia for it, which I think is feeding into the glowing praise.
