When I think back. I am so glad that I grew up watching the original beyblade. I remember watching Kai and Max fight, and Max came up with an idea spin his bey in reverse and I thought that was the coolest thing.

I feel the same way. If you critique the show objectively, it's really lackluster. But there's something under the surface that's so charming about it. The background music is definitely above average though, and switchblade is my favorite. It only plays a couple times in season 2, but in very memorable moments like Tyson Vs Kane

Kai vs Daichi was amusing for me to watch, back in G-Revolution times. I mean, Daichi had so much mis-placed courage against one of the best blades on the planet, at that point. I mean... Kai blasted Daichi into oblivion with no much effort, ROFL. I guess no-one gave Daichi the memo xD
