Switched the T6 to Summer Mode | New SUPER BRIGHT LED's

I switched the T6 to #SummerMode and... I install some insane bright LED Lamps in my Headlights!!!

We get rid of the nasty stone chip in the grille, switch the van into Summer Mode and install some super bright LED lamps into the main beam units.

Hi Steve, got Philips leds in mine including the fog lights plus a lazer ST 12 light bar in the lower grille (12,500 lumens) full beam is unbelievable

Another fantastic video steve have you ever considered getting the Lazer lamps LED lights for your front grill,I have had these fitted to my brand new t6.1 high, along with factory LED headlights I've also had fitted a full width curved LED roof mounted light bar ,brings a whole new meaning to the phase night time day time 🤪

Hi Mark, I have still got the budget ones on them that came with the wheels but I am going to replace them very soon as not to keen.

No need to flip out , MOT centre does not even check , and i had no error codes either . I have them in high & main beam , lights up like the ship outta close encounters , especially with my led drls in the bumper . Position the bulbs by twisting them at the back on the heatsink area , ensure your not getting the darkspot as i also have the new headlights from THQ , with drls , i have a t5.1 sportline swb .

🙌Thanks buddy, I have the headlight DRL’s coded off as I just like the lower grille ones on. In the opening sequence the initial shot they were unplugged as I forgot to plug them back in on refitting the bumper 🤦🏼‍♂️🤣

🙌thanks buddy, yes but only when the lights are on. No error if you flash mains during the day. Will sort the coding with a Vagcom soon

Been through two mot’s with the h7 leds. They are on the transporter hq v3 light i it’s. You can’t see the bulb so there’s no issues. Also they have projector units in them so they do give a proper beam pattern. Are your light units just standard?

No bud, These are the V2’s and I’ve been through MOTs with the H7 LEDS no probs too BUT this video is about the H1 LED in the main beam which are visible and will fail…

Hi bud, not at this stage. Never say never but there are 5 of us in the family so it wasn’t a solution to our sleeping arrangements so we sleep in a blow up awning. And that means the beds doesn’t need to be put away each time we drive away👍

Hi i have both H7 and H1 Transporter HQ LED bulbs in my version 3 headlamp. I phoned Transporter HQ about my order and they told me that the LED H1 bulbs will now pass the MOT because i was going to swap out the bulbs too but now i guess i dont have too. Transporter HQ said as their headlamp unit is designed to work with LEDS it will pass.

Hi Steve, have you had any issues with THQ LEDs? Both my fog light LEDs and now my day running light LEDs in my main cluster have failed. They flickered for about a day or two then died. Has anyone else found this with LED bulbs from them?

Hi Simon, No I haven’t.. I’ve had the main H7’s in the running headlights for about 2 years now with no issues at all… the new H1 main beams are still relatively new but no issues this far👍

The uk mot Ref is for LED headlights to have a wash wipe so most retro fitted leds don’t meet but my recent Mot was no issue at all with the LED bulbs in 👍

I'm just about to order lights from Transporter HQ but now you have me wondering. On the site is the option for H1 night breaker bulbs for both main and dipped. You're saying they are not road legal but why would a reputable company sell illegal bulbs and be allowed to sell them? At a quandary now

Hi Paul, The night breaker H1 in the options menu IS road legal it’s the H1 LED on the website that is not and that’s the one I’ve purchased of my own back. It is visible on an MOT where as the H7 dipped headlight is not visible from the outside. Hope this helps buy Transporter HQ have done a good video on the headlights and bulbs over on their channel well worth a watch 👍
