The n2 is a beast and mine’s still rocking after 30 years of ownership.

Craig, any chance you guys could compare the Ibanez AZ 24/22 and Suhr Modern/Classic in an upcoming video?

Sounds like a great comparison! We've been meaning to review a Suhr, so we'll look to make this happen in an upcoming episode! Thanks for the suggestion...

I always loved the look (and tone) of the N4...the raw alder with ebony board and reverse headstock...so cool. Fast forward to a few years ago...I had a bandmate who had one. I have a Peavey Wolfgang Special USA. I got to A/B his vs mine and I have to say I much prefer the feel of the Wolfgang. Maybe I was just so used to it, but I prefer the neck/fretboard radius of the Wolfgang...so comfy. I think to the tone of both are great. The only thing I don't like about the Wolfie is lack of tummy cut and arm bevel. Definitely check out a Wolfgang (old or new) and keep switching gears :)

Hey John...Yes, both the N4 and the Wolfgang are awesome instruments. We recently compared an EVH Striped Series to a Wolfgang. Check it out. We have tons more content in the pipeline, so keep coming back! Thanks for watching!

A few questions: What are you playing through (amp, effects)? Why does the D-Tuna need it's own route? The D-Tuna needs the Floyd to be decked to stay in tune when used (no pulling up). Is the Floyd set into the body to make that route necessary?
@switchinggear60315 жыл бұрын
The amp we were playing through at The Music Zoo was a Engl 1x12 combo amp. We used the amps built-in reverb. It's likely that the routing for the D-Tuna was to enable pull-ups with the trem. Hope that helps a bit. Thanks for checking out our channel.
@kitoyobeni15 жыл бұрын
@@switchinggear6031 If the trem is set to float (to allow pull-ups), the D-Tuna won't work (triggering it will put the floyd out of alignment required to float) and the guitar will go out of tune.
@kitoyobeni15 жыл бұрын
@@switchinggear6031 The Engl sounds great with both guitars though. Any idea which model?
@switchinggear60315 жыл бұрын
@@kitoyobeni1 It was most likely the Engl Screamer 50.
@switchinggear60315 жыл бұрын
@@kitoyobeni1 Good point. We didn't look closely enough at it. It could just be that the trem sits so close to the guitars body that it needed to be routed out so it doesn't actually pull down on the trem by resting on the body. But we're not 100% sure.

I had the cherry red N2 ( "padauk" ) it looked awesome, sounded really great, the BillLawrence had a creamy screaming upper freq range... but the overall build quality of the guitar was utter crap. :)) all the hardware fell apart, neck was twisted, fretwork was shitty... absolutely unreliable instrument. My ultimate dream is still a padauk N4 ( and a Ibanez Jem floral ) :D

So you are saying that music zoo will sell me that n4 authentic for 2 grand? Try 2999. Clueless.
