@@darklinkduck2275 yeah I completely forgot about the natural finishes being a thing in the 70s, but I’ve seen older strats teles, Ibanez, and Yamaha natural finishes in the 70s. I guess it was so different because Extreme hit towards the end of glam a little before grunge and the vintage guitar market blew up. Even though Extreme wasn’t glam they got sorta lumped into that and everyone had a neon super strat or something pointy . Yeah I guess natural guitars have always been a thing maybe Nuno just brought it to the hard rock metal genre ?

This makes me long for the good old days of Washburn, back before Dimebag Darrell left for Dean, and Nuno was blowing the minds of everyone who thought he was just the guy who played acoustic on "more than words".. back then, as a metalhead, the height of heavyness we all aspired to was a Dimebag stealth, and Randall amp.. and to this day I'd take a Washburn Dime signature over any of his Dean's, and a solid state Randall over his all tube Krank amps too.. RIP Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott! 🍻🤘☝️😎

There's just something about the quality of old guitars/basses that I feel like I can't find in modern instruments or at least you can't find it easily. My late 80s Carvin LB70, early 90s B.C. Rich Eagle and many other Japanese/American instruments of that era feel indestructible. Better woods? Better quality components? Better craftsmanship? I don't know what it is but something seems to have changed nowadays. On the other hand though, today's inexpensive instruments are far superior to the inexpensive ones of these eras. I may be wrong but that's what my experience up until now seems to suggest. Great video as always man! I've been binge watching your channel for a couple of weeks now and I absolutely love your content and the presentation! Cheers!

Cool....I have a couple of questions about this guitar...the original N4 had a String retainer bar. You can still see the hole's, but Nuno removed his retainer bar. I noticed this one does not come with one at all. Is the headstock tilted?...Or is it flat like a Strat would be? again, I am very curious how this got resolved as I am dealing with this on a Floyded Strat....How do you bypass the retainer bar and NOT have the strings go sharp on the headstock? Any response would be greatly helpful. Cheers and Thank you.

A great buy for a great player 💪💪💪 I bought mine new back in January 10th 1992. Padauk stain with Wasburn's own pickups, w623 bridge, w621 neck, tageuchi made in Japan tremolo, which is probably what yours is, Grover 18:1. . Let me tell you man, the quality of this guitar is insane. Plays and sounds like a 3000 dollar new guitar and out sustains all of them. Let alone that she's completely impervious to weather conditions, I tune her once every two weeks. Hell, I've played an entire 45 minute set once without having to tune once. I've had tens of superstrats, anything you can name from 700 to 3000+. All of them are gone, my N2 and an early 90s Washburn Strat sss are those which stayed. And they'll never leave 😁

Funny you should say that. Mine has the Wasburn pickups and kills all my other guitars. I even swapped them for many sets from the big brands, latest Brin a set of Dark Matter 2s. Went back to stock cause they sounded better in any scenario 🙄

Makes me wish Washburn was somewhat relevant for Electric guitars, they still make Nunos but beside that they pretty much abandon the electric guitar market sadly

First electric guitar I ever laid my hands on was an N2 in the early 90's. A friend had it for his birthday. It ruined all other guitars for me after that (that I could afford). The basswood one would be interesting, I wonder how it effect the feel and balance. Hmm.
@sixstringtv1
@sixstringtv1 2 жыл бұрын
Probably wouldn't affect the balance much, as the body mine has is already pretty much as lightweight as it gets. But I'd still be interested to see the difference

I had a chance to play an n4 it was the most cumbersome uncomfortable guitar i had ever played mainly because of the finger grip near the top of the neck id say most people love it but it hate it
