2 words: DO IT!!! Industry stuff isn't what I'm here for anyway, I rather geting creativity focused content and some tips or techniques I didn't know about. I do animation as one of my many hobbies so it's creative content im here for, I like watching the step by step of your animations, I LOVED the shorthand bodies video where you made a little sword animation whith diferent ways of simplifying the body, or the video advising us to draw frames of videos to be better at both animation and drawing. I like watching you work and the practical advice you can give, something I can start doing today, rather than videos about animation portfolio advice. I also prefer casual talking and humour, so basically I'm happy that you're going to be more chill and post what you really want instead of being, I don't know... like a news reporter keep that spark going! you have great skill and were here for you, do what you want, that's the magic of YT, I'm sure this change will be for the better, I want to see you as an author or a cool dude who knows how to do cool stuff, industries are kinda cringe. Indie creators are the GOATS

Sounds good. As a person who doesn't really want to work in the industry, but wants to push myself to actually making something better each time, I still valued your channel because while it was never 1/1 it always had something to glean from.

I can’t speak for others, but I watch your videos because of your creative process and the reflections you share about it. I’m a comic book artist, not an animator, but the creative process of visual narrative media is similar (sorta). I’ve even been having some fun with the grease pencil and making a few very short animations, but animation definitely isn’t for me haha. And, man, you sound like a fun and cool person to have around, so it's great to visit your channel anyway.

I discovered your channel in my softmore year of college and It has reshaped my understanding of how I should approach breaking into the animation industry. Now that I've graduated 5 months latter its been challenging due to shifting tides and such, but I do appreciate the artistic and educational process of your work. Thanks for everything and keep up the good work 👏🏽

You are the master of your own creation. Seems it would only be natural, if this is what you're presenting now. Anybody who's been in, is in it for anything you'd feel like sharing.

I honestly would love a video of you just talking about your characters like the monster hunter and vampire rock star as much as you talking about the animation industry.

I'm really excited to see this more personal side to you! Following your journey and advice for the past few years has been a really nice blessing and I think you're right. There is a point where you can only give so much wisdom until your audience just has to experience it. (Also, cool fact, I got into one of my dream animation schools thanks to your inspiring work! 😎 So keep being you!)

I'm just a hobbyist, nowhere near your skill level, so I went directly to that second mode, where I am more invested in talks about the characters from the animations than about my job or experiences as the animator. If another animator comes in and we talk about the process, I enjoy that, of course, but my most valued comments are from people who love the characters and thought they would never see an animation about one of their favorites. I do fan animations and love including obscure characters not many people know about, so it is special when I reach the few people who also love them and are happy to see someone creating these little tributes.

Good for you do what makes you happy. the industry is so exhausting that cutting back on talking about it might do wonders for your mental health.

the industry is too volatile atm to give any real advice anyways, i support your decision wholeheartedly.

I understand and respect your decision to shift the focus of your channel from industry talk however I’m sad to see it go. As someone hoping to get into Sheridan college and the animation industry eventually who has been looking for info about it online to know what it’s like and how to get there. I found it to be very hard to find many people talking about the topic and many more solo artists who post pretty work which is lovely, but doesn’t really help me with my goals which was how I found your work and what I came here for. I’ll be sad to see it go, but I may pop in now and again to watch any educational related videos here to improve my craft. I hope you have a great day.

i love this! i've been following you for years and you are one of those people that have inspired me to keep working on animation. if you ever get to that point where you want to hire artists for your projects, i will be very interested to join. also, i have saved up for tvpaint and im so exited to get a professional animation program to work in.
