I like that you are consistent on informing the viewers on how to weep water away - eg- nipping the corners. Good for first time viewers. Keep up the good work and vids.

Been subbed for a while now from Mississippi. Your videos are enlightening to me as a realtor/landlord/flipper. Thanks for all of the explanation and solid videos. I’ve always been amazed at the sketchy roofers I encounter and have learned a lot from stuff you’ve shown. You may have already done a video on it but…. covering how to handle a tree hitting your property would be awesome (tarp job damage control, pic taking, dealing with insurance, quoting bids, etc). Dealing with insurance and whether their “price” will work is always interesting. I had 1 roofer tell me he would need more money (than the insurance quote) just for the roof itself after a tree hit it (he would’ve probably gotten it from insruance too). I got numerous bids for all roof and inside work and cut the quote in half. It was a reminder to get as many bids as possible even if you don’t know jack about construction or roofing.

Hey Brian Having that little shingle on the left side pop out like that was quite handy from an educational point of view

I’m watching from Los Angeles California. I’ve learned a lot watching your videos. Things like leaving a water channel around vent stacks and combustion exhaust vents. And proper flashing installation (rather than heaping Henry’s tar on it!) Doing my own re-roofing (with a little labor help for punch item tasks like roof tear off, and schlepping bundles of shingles up onto the roof deck) thanks to your instructional videos

Thank you for your time and effort in making this video but please make another one demonstrating water flow action on a roof fixture like that vent as well as nail and cement/tar placement, notches on shingles and key ways, etc. Explain it all in slow motion please with a model on a tabletop. We understand that you have to talk fast and work quickly because you’re on the clock but it’s hard for us to learn this way. Hope you understand.😅

These shingles look like a newer roof, question is why were the vents not replaced when they did the roof?
@GrandRoofingInc8 күн бұрын
The vents were replaced when the roof was done. There were two where a new addition was put on, that were newer.
