bigger wheels for bigger frames & people, makes sense right? I need a longer frame cus mien is way too short, I think trek's sizing will requite me to get largest frame they got, but I won't go for trek, cus I want different geo, and seems to be problematic to get warranty here, but my bike is so awful I would need new bike anyway, not replacement of parts, but it seems like they don't want to admit there is a huge problem. but somewhere near 480-500mm reach I guess I will have a good reach number. I am currently at 430mm and knees hit hte bar and fork and even stem at some point, I can see the wear of the stem cap logo, the slogan halfway gone.

3:12 eventually the syringe will wear out, and it will be a mess,the tube cracks, and the seal pops off, also orange seal seals well so it clogs up, I recommend filling directly from bottle to the tyre.

Went 29'er in 2013 & never looked back. Although I do have a Verde Theory dj, but that's for building some what I feel are necessary skills for MTBing (I ride it at skate parks & indoor parks. It seems to me that when the BMX riders transfer to MTB they seem to just flourish. They have mad bike handling skills!). When throwing on new rubber, I sit down and place the wheel on a bucket to get it started. For the last stubborn section I'll use tire levers like shoe horns if necessary. Works well for me.

I have an x-caliber that (I think) uses the same frame as the Roscoe. I upgraded the fork and increased the travel from 100mm to 120mm-like the Roscoe-and removed my front derailleur and made it a 1x. I'll be interested to watch your follow-up on the difference you notice. I love the speed of my 29ers versus what I noticed when I've ridden 27.5s. I've also ordered a better rear wheel to get a better freehub.

Due to the bicycle shortage one of the only bikes I could even buy in this price range is the Roscoe 8. I'm coming from an X-Caliber 8 which is a 29er and I'm about 6'1" 138 lbs. I also commute and ride on the road more than I hit the trails, but I live in Santa Cruz so I just HAVE to hit the trails sometimes. This interests me greatly. How does it feel, does it look weird? It looks great in the video. Thanks!

If you start at one end of the tire, work your hands up each side of the wheel rolling the tire onto the rim but also pushing the tire up as you go to work any slack there may be towards the unseated portion. That should make it easier to seat. Hard to explain in text lol. Road bike tires are the worst for seating when new.

Do you think those 27,5 wheels that came with the bike, can allow a narrow tire? or is necessary to change the wheel as well. The line 30 is nice, not as nice or as loud as the hope, but certainly better than the stock hub on the roscoe

@@ToogyHowser I was thinking that to but Blake from gmbn runs 27internal on his plus bike. If its not I can always lace the hubs to the sun ringle duroc 40 rims that came on the bike

Hi Toogy, could you compare the width of both tires 27,5 plus vs 29?
@ToogyHowser
@ToogyHowser 5 жыл бұрын
I did actually measure after the fact, the Rocket Rons are coming in a 2.78" and the Bontrager XR3 is coming in at 2.32" wide.

Did you just convert a Roscoe to be a Marlin? Same frame from what I see.

Nope, the x-caliber is the same frame as the Roscoe, not the marlin

Hey Dario! They are 29x2.4's, plenty of room still! Could probably run a 29x2.6 in the front easily!
