Trek Roscoe 8 | Long Term Review | How Did It Hold Up??

i have a trek Roscoe 7 because i got it for FREE FROM A GUY in perfect condition or i NEVER thought of having one, needed a $20 shifter and upgraded $100 BUCKS COST.....i put on a royal Italian comfy seat and nicer grips and aluminum peddles and a riser on and use it as a CASUAL CRUISER ....HEY IT WAS FREE....! I have tons of trails and quiet safe tourist places to putts around for casual EXERCISE.....

I put a set of cushcore inserts on my roscoe 8. Made a big difference in the feel and handling of the bike. With the 27.5+ tires they are a pain to install and i will take it to my LBS when its time for new tires.

I love this bike, and I’m hoping to get either a Roscoe 8 or 9 as soon as I can afford it. Great review, it’s great to know the good and not so good things after a couple of years of use. I think it’s a little mean of you to highlight the mech hanger as an issue though, bending under impact is exactly what they are supposed to do. Thanks for a very informative review though 👍 Chris.

I always kept an extra derailer hanger in my bag on the trails cause they do break while you're riding

Informative video. What size is your bike? I thought they only made the roscoe in a 29er.

Thanks for watching! Mine is a 27.5. It’s a 2021 version of the Roscoe 8. Looks like the newest ones are 29’s. To be honest I really like the 27.5. Just feels like I have more control. Especially on jumps and drops

Yah I’m surprised they changed is to a 29. I’m sure is you really wanted one you can find a used 2021 Roscoe for way cheaper 🤷‍♂️. I myself need to get a full suspension some day

The color is Dark Aquatic/Metallic Gunmetal! I’m not sure if they still have this color but I love it. Really caught my eye the first time I saw it in person

@@mountainbond1743 Haha. I literally just put the deposit down on a Roscoe 8 in Mulsanne Blue. For 2023 they didn't have Dark Aquatic. Happy trails, literally.
