Switching to a Sterling Ink B6 Common Planner (Half Year)

I recently got an opportunity to try out the Sterling Ink Common Planner B6! This is the Half Year Part 2 version in the Caramel color way. I'm testing out how it feels to use this instead of my Hobonichi Cousin for the second half of this year. Have you used a Common Planner before?

I'm super curious as to whether the Sanzen feels different than what the Hobonichi used this year! I have only been hearing people complain about the Hobo paper.

I have been thinking the same thing ever since you mentioned it on Discord. It’s too soon to tell. I’m not sure about you, but for my Hobonichi, the writing experience is fine and then a random page will ABSOLUTELY not be fine. Is that how yours is? So I wonder if that’s how this Sterling Ink will be. So far, it is good but I think a lot of my pens write wet. Compared to the original old paper tho, it is not on the same level of buttery smoothness.

@@StationeryDumpling I am not using the Hobonichi, only the weeks. I think I was hearing basically what you said. People felt like the Sanzen is generally fine, but it seemed like some people were randomly getting a second machine experience throughout their planners. I have the B6 Sterling Ink undated and that has been fine.

"WHOA SHIT!!" You should have kept all of that if you started to show us the inky flop xD!! I would have loved to see the mess xD that was scary but funny at the same time xD I hope things were fine! I actually realy like how simplistic that layout looks and the lightness of the black is not a terrible issue, but if you have poor eyesight, it definitely could be a problem. I don't like that Hobonichi has a ton of red and black all over and I have no need for those, but I'm not a planner girlie, so that's why it doesn't really do much for me. I have enjoyed my plain/grid notebooks more than the planners. I feel like seeing this, I might wanna just go back to bullet journaling because that was very fun when I had time and energy HAHA!
