I feel like Microsoft could actually brand the Series S as a cheaper alternative to a gaming PC. Include an "ëxpanded mode" interface for monitors, native keyboard and mouse support on the UI, a better optimized version with Edge, and some better standards for KBM support across AAA games and it could be a decent package.

Fortnite seems easy because the lesser you play, or its your first time playing it, it fills your lobbies with AI bots or extremely bad players. If you want to get into lobbies with real good players, you shud play arena. Also the graphics settings are maxed out :)

Yeah i dont play much anymore because not only did they ruin the game with bullshit meta and weapons but now everybody is sweaty and third parties so hard i just cant have any casual games. A workaround to the limitation discussed @4:17 is to not switch on the controller when starting xbox. Navigate the menu and start the game using keyboard. You will not receive the popup discussed here.

For the controller issue, first, connect your controller to the console itself through a cable. Any usb-C works or if you have a original xbox one controller use a micro usb. Then for the vibrations there is a setting in most games and I think the Xbox itself to turn them off. Hope this helps.

yeah you can go in the settings on the xbox go to accesories and controller and turn off the vibration. this will turn it off for all games.

Point 3 is true and moreover its just a smart marketing strategy if you think about it. A new player's more likely to continue playing the game if they win a lot during their initial experience. Compared to Warzone, that feeling of difficulty as a newbie, will discourage the player to play further because the skill gap is just too much. Atleast that's what I felt. And probably the average casual gamer who just wants to play to win a couple instead of try-harding every game.

For example, Sniper Elite Zombie Army 4 has full m+kb support, but not a single list I've found online has this game listed. Maybe it's because none of the lists have been recently updated, but still lol, the "download it and find out" method is pretty lame for now.

Agreed. I had a decent older desktop that was struggling to run MSFS2020 flight sim. Once I heard Xbox series S has this title I jumped at the chance and hooked mouse and keyboard as well. Does it play ok, Yes. But what I'm finding is the lack of a slider in setting to adjust settings from basic, middle to Ultra settings. They also removed options to download areas on map to get ultra settings. Even with a fast internet I'm getting low to middle graphics on scenery being rendered. No where close to high or ultra settings are possible. I'd like the option of putting game ti ultra even if only got 20fps. Bit that isn't available. I know expansive really high end desktops even struggle with ultra settings on this flight som so I guess I can live with lower end graphics in xbox. Many other games titles do play quite well on system. EA Sport titles, Forza Horizon, Halo all play really good.

You won your first match because you were playing against bots. Everyones first few matches are either all bots or mostly bots. After the game gets a few matches to register your skill level the skill ceiling goes up very fast. When I played a lot I found it harder to get wins in fortnite than it was in warzone when I played that daily.

If you need a fix for the “you need a controller to play this game” pop up, then just turn off the game you have the pop up on and disconnect the controller and click enter on the keyboard to re-enter the game while still having it selected and you don’t have to have your controller connected to play (which saves battery) but if the game your playing doesn’t have a cursor on menus then feel free to keep the controller on to switch inputs on menus for convenience.

The thing about fortnite is when you start out, there are more and more bots in your lobby making it easier for newer players to get used to it instead of being destroyed immediately. If you want more of a challenge creative, arena/ranked are great things to try.

The problem is, PC has VASTLY more variety in games that are simply not available on consoles which include strategy, city builders and MMO's etc on top of the usual multiplatform FPS and AAA games. I also own a XBSX, great console but it just doesn't match what is available on PC, I could certainly make do with just the XBSX but I wouldn't be able to play half the games I enjoy.

I have a laptop and it’s not great. It can barely run even fortnite in performance mode at 30 fps and even some simple games like sonic mania struggle too. But I like to use Xbox cloud gaming and I’m impressed. It makes the experience 10x better and is overall a way better option if you have a crappy pc/laptop.

@@loid6888 maybe PS5 because it has a better recording clips system. Lets you record for up to an hour. Xbox only lets you do that if you have an external HDD/SSD or a USB Stick. But I wouldn’t buy a PS5 just for the recording. Just buy an Xbox and a 256GB USB Stick and format it for Media (not games and apps). Unless you want a PS5 regardless of the recording.

If you want to avoid keeping your controller on while gaming on the keyboard, open the games using your keyboard and keep the controller off while entering the game

series s + pc is the best experience, best of both worlds. pc is obviously superior, so getting a next gen console, its great the series s exists because it doesnt make sense to get series x when u already have a good pc, but the series s gives the same experience albeit at a lower resolution which is coincidentally at 1080p, which is the same i use for my pc anyway so its perfect.

You can also go to settings on the xbox go to accesories and controller and turn off the vibration. this will turn it off for all games.
