The summers in the PNW are majestic. Glaciers on the mountains, crabbing, fishing, hiking, etc. Washington State is a HUGE park. From the mountains to the ocean. Don't forget Eastern Washington too. The Columbian River has a lot to offer as well. Glad you had a great day on the water. We should do annual meet and greets with a Crab Fest :)

Love the San Juan Islands, so much to see. We purchased our 1950 GMC truck from Anacortes, named her Annie after the lady whose name is Annie who founded Anacortes. Beautiful area, we always love visiting.

I visited the San Juan Islands and to be honest it was one of the most stunning experiences ever! I truly enjoyed the video that you created and shared with us, inspiring, nostalgic, and moving. As someone who has been struggling with life and stress lately, this has been a very nice reminder to me to get out to the world again and stop worrying too much over the things I can't control. Thank you so much for the reminder and wishing you the best on your journey.

What was the temperature outside while on the boat? What was the water temp? Looks chilly🦀
@SwitchItUpLife2 жыл бұрын
The temps were in the 70's so it was great but once we were moving it was kinda chilly with that water temp blowing breeze :-) but it wasn't terrible - I'm (Sheila) just cold most of the time! Thanks for watching

I have a huge Madrone tree in my backyard, on the north end of the Olympic Peninsula. You can find numerous Madrones on Indian Island, Marrowstone Island, approaching Port Townsend and around Lake Crescent, WA. I love those trees. BTW, nice crabs! I love Dungeness crabs dipped in melted buttery goodness! Yummy!

Come on Todd man up you're making us men folks look bad. Oh my, how'd Sheila get crabs? Is she okay now? So does that mean Sheila likes Beaujolais wine? LOL Remember Crocodile Dundee when Mic said that's not a knife this is a knife. Well those weren't big waves 20 foot waves are big waves. That was just a light chop.

Would love to have Todd come to Maryland and sit and pick and eat some delicious blue crabs steamed with Old Bay! Never had dungeness crabs but all you hear about other crabs is dipping them in butter like a lobster.😝 Could you steam them like we do blue crabs or is the taste so different it's a no go? If anyone knows about that please let me know.

Yes we just boil and eat no seasoning needed.

We really enjoyed spending time with you. You were troupers on the water chop that day. In these waters perfectly blue sky is from the north wind and creates that chop.
