Nice review. The indicator camera theory you posed that it was not that great was quiet funny to me. You see, you shouldbe indicationg and then looking and then make the turn or change lanes.. not indicate as you turn, ;)

1. When you engage turn signal you can set the camera to be shown in the infotainment screen that way you don't have to look into instrument cluster screen 2. The tail gate is light because it is a composite tailgate (thermoplastic), which is made up of glass filled plastic polymer. Which is also used in vehicles like the Land Rover, Volvo, Jaguar, Citroen, etc,.. If you worried it might not be strong as steel, actually it is way stronger than typical tailgate and also light in weight

The only disadvantage of the Mahindra XUV700‘s Plastic Tailgate is the higher cost of manufacturing. This is due to the complex procedures involved in bending glass fibre uniformly. So contrary to popular beliefs, it costs more for Mahindra to make it, so the discussion of Mahindra implementing it to save costs or, as people call it, cost-cutting goes out of the window. The advantages are many, including better weather corrosion resistance, a higher strength-to-weight ratio, and weight reduction. A typical thermoplastic unit can be 20-30 per cent lighter than a steel panel measuring the same size while at the same time being stronger. It is also easier to implement the desired shape and design in the case of thermoplastic.

Tye tail gait is light because the used diff. Material for this specifically and its very strong . This car is 5 star rated car in terms of safety by the global encap .
