EGX London 2021 - UK's Biggest Gaming Expo

I recently found out about EGX. I've always wanted to visit London and, as someone trying to get my foot through the door into the gaming industry, presented a great opportunity to do so! Looking forward to seeing you guys there!

Awesome footage cheers fella! I skipped PLAY EXPO this week in Blackpool due to COVID, but it's great to see them back again! I went to EGX back in 2016 here up north and sadly it put me off attending again as the queues for 95% of the games made Alton Towers look tiny! :) I believe the queues have been addressed to a degree since, this video shows that COVID has one positive at least! clearing out the crowds! lol

Cheers CEWIIH, Ive been to comic con before but my first gaming convention in the UK at least. Yea Covid has impacted on a lot of venues, if nothing else it's kept the queues down, even if it is at the expense of there being less big names attending.

I really liked this video - good😊 travelogue. Great idea, really enjoyed it. Looks like a good day. I haven't been out to anything for almost two years with all the Covid limits. Places are only starting to open now where I am. Next year it seems there will be more to do.

It was good fun Tech, plenty of games to play and things to see, though I think going as part of a group would be a lot more fun, I didn't really speak to anyone other than publisher people the whole time I was there lol.

Great video and thanks for sharing your thoughts about the event. I actually never been to this event before, I just happen to see an advert from my insta this morning about this event. So I thought id check it out here on KZbin and I came across this video of yours :D I am thinking if I should go to this event this weekend... I wonder if playstation and other companies will be there this time.? Are there games and anime figurines that they sell as well?

You're welcome. I've got everything booked so I'll be attending again Friday and Saturday. I'm not entirely sure what PS/Xbox games will be showcased this year, I don't think they have dedicated stands but I know Steam Deck will be making an appearance. As for merch there are a ton of indo independent stands and I do recall them having anime figurines last year.

@@SwitchStars Thanks for the info! :) I have been to Comic Con before but not this specific event, but It looks interesting and I might come this weekend. There’s a lot of games I want to play Like Street Fighter 6 and other upcoming games on the console and I wonder if they will showcase it on this event. I guess i’m gonna have to find out :D

I went to London comic con years back now, this one is definatley more focused around the games. I believe there is also a live street fighter tournament on if that's your thing 😁

@@SwitchStars Nice! I’m sure you probably already know that there’s another one this October :) You should attend this year at Con. Anyway that will be awesome if they have a fighting tournament 👌🏼 Maybe the new Tekken 8 will shown there too and other new games :D But I’m not gonna put my hopes up. Overall i just want to enjoy really especially it’s my first time and thought I’d come to check out this event. If I like it, I might go again in the future :)

@@SwitchStars There are definitely some I want to go to as well!! My medical issues have kept me from doing a lot of traveling unfortunately, (rare inner ear autoimmune disease) but I've been finding ways to deal with it and live again. Even been able to play shows with my band again!! 🙂
