I think Mario & Sonic should be a bit higher. It's way worse than the Wii entries, but it's still a fun time, either with friends, or alone in the story mode. Not only that, but the game literally has soccer, how is it below Mario Strikers? I would put it at least at 19th.

If playing with friends is your only saving grace, then you’re not a good game. 3D World, Wonder, Jamboree, and Superstars are all a blast to play with friends, but more importantly they’re fun games in their own right. You can still enjoy the games without friends. Super Mario party and the newest Olympic Games are not fun games. They are only fun with friends, which isn’t even the game doing smth right, it’s just that playing any game with friends is fun. So sure, you can play them with friends and have a fun time, or you can play better games with friends and have a better time. Sounds like they deserve to be near the bottom to me.

Nice video! My favorite is also MK8DX with SMM2 as a close 2nd. In Mario games I like how many challenges you can come up with and how many tricky shortcuts and locations you can discover. In MK8DX I love the many shortcuts. Mushroom Gorge is my favorite track because the cave is very fun to do quickly and then I haven't even mentioned the gap jump! In SMM2 I love speedrunning levels and difficult kaizo jumps.

I believe that Origami King and Thousand Year door are top Mario Games I think they are a bit low, true the battle system is meh in OK but the game has a good opening and great villain. Olivia is great the professor toad is meh but Kamek, BJ, and Bowser are great. Bobby is the single greatest character in almost every Mario game. There's nothing about it that is trial & error, obnoxious or repetitive and it does have plenty of variety into the combat field and the game does get challenging.
