Mine just keeps crashing whenever I try to render, or add render elements. Windows 10 seems to be a huge problem when it comes to Autodesk software these days as it just seems like everything is constantly crashing, and without any warnings or errors. I cannot figure out why.

If you are using V-Ray 5 then use brute force. It's been improved a lot.

Irradiance map is slightly complicated to handle. It was better in previous versions but since Vray 5 . I use brute force.

Can setting up of render time let's say 60min affect noise threshold of 0.005? Coz there's where you said that "u either set render time with zero threshold or set the noise threshold to 0.005 with zero time" I will b glad if u reply. Thanks for your precise and easy to understand tutorials 👏

If you set threshold to zero. It means threshold value is disabled. It will not work. Only render time will work. And Vray will stop rendering when the threshold value is achieved.

60 mins can effect the threshold and also not effect the threshold. You need to understand one thing. If you set time to 60 mins and noise threshold to 0.005 Vray will look at both the parameters. It will stop rendering as soon as any one of the two parameters is achieved.

Thank You So Much Sir for This tutorial ✨ My 3dsMax version is 2017 & Vray Next (I get the option of Vray 5, Hotfix 1) I have been facing a Serious issue about Splotches & Researching on the Internet, tried it as well but it didn't helped Can You Please help me how to Remove These splotches (just a Modelling, with no materials, Textures) only Vray Sun with Intensity of 1 & Vray Physical camera & no other settings was interrupted but these black patches are disturbing alot for my each & every Model) Thank You in advance!

There are 2 main culprits in splotches case. First is bad modeling topology. 2nd is render settings parameters. First make sure at splotches you don't have double face. A face sitting on a face. Next tell me your Vray version. Are you using next(4) or Vray 5 right now?

So for Render settings I get the option as Vray 5, Hotfix 1 & Sir, I didn't get the Point about doing face, can you please explain? & One thing I observed recently, so m updating this Comment! Under GI tab, Primary Engine - I had kept Irradiance,(I was informed by few of my 3d Users Friends) Which started giving me those splotches but when I kept it as Brute force, those Patches disappeared! How cum? As I have seen many using Irradiance

Irradiance map is your main culprit. IR Map was good in older versions. I also use in till Vray Next but in VRay 5 brute force and denoiser combo is great. Now remember one thing. If you use IR Map then you will get splotches. But in IR you can remove splotches by increasing Subdivs value to a high number like 100 or 120. This value is present in GI tab / Irradiance map rollout / Subdivs Plus also increase Interp. Samples to a high value. E.g. Subdivs 100 , Interp. Subdivs 90
