You're making great progress. And I'm not sure how some members of the SAL have already completed the 3 pages, but I'm certainly impressed. As you said, they must have taught themselves to stitch while sleeping! lol I'd expect that they use the cross country method which I just cannot do. So, I'm slow, but methodical! Hi Carla, I think you sometimes stress too much about stitching :) just relax and stitch whatever is appealing to you. I'm now working on Melody of the Night (my new year start) and often think of you, how you were doing it. It really is a confetti hell!

I go with the idea of having a daily goal of 100 stitches, but if I get in the groove I will allow myself to just keep going. Yesterday my arm hurt so I only did 20 stitches, but last week I got into a groove and did 400, so I feel it balances it out.

Perhaps the people racing ahead with the stitch along are retired. It's easy to do six hours a day of more if you have fewer family calls on your time and at this time of year no gardening or lawn mowing to do. I wish everyone a very happy stitchy retirement. It's great!

Hi Carla. I have two haeds actually started. One that’s quite far along and another just started. My friend talked me into doing the mini but it looks a bit blocky to me. Not sure I’ll want to stitch it if I’m not happy. Wondering what you would do. I have the chart in regular too x

Hi Sheralyn! Never stitch something you're not totally happy with! Is there one of those "Request a size" available that is sort of inbetween the big and the mini, to not compromise hugely on detail? Most charts can also be requested at the size you prefer. I went along with that for my Fairy Whispers. It's what your heart tells you. Hope that helps😊 x

It is in the Chinese zodiac fable though. There are a few different variation to the fable where the rat/mouse tricks the cat, or pushes it into the water, so it doesn't win the Jade Emperor's contest/race. I honestly know it more from the anime called Fruits Basket (the cat was tricked into sleeping through it all in this variation), but it is an interesting read, if you're into that sort of stuff 😊
