SWOLA142 - stupid, stupid computers

#SWOLA142 would have been completed earlier if my computer hadn't decided that it needed a new motherboard. So, one backup, motherboard swap and fresh installation of Windows later ... here I am. Reinstalling software and resetting all of my previously generated presets for both audio and video. I sure hope I get them right!
I think I have some mixing/mastering tweaks to make over the coming weeks ...

@@guitarfascination Well, you can do that; but the trick is really in using suspended chords, stacked chords and diminished chords. Sometimes tuning low or going to seven string gets real bassy or muddy. Certain cabinets have a very good depth that sounds like the guitar is much deeper than what it truly is without down tuning 🤘

Ah dude, I feel you! Damn PCs.... amazing playing and riffs here brother, a brutal sound yet so crisp. Love your playing man. I am having some recording issues these days, I think (hope not) it might be a computer issue or even my Focusrite packing in. I get some unwanted noise from my guitar (clicks, pops, fuzz) not just feed back but it is almost like my strings are hypersensitive, or just unwanted crackles when I am playing. I don't think it is the leads and know that it isn't the guitar as I have tried others. Wondering if you have ever had this? Sorry for the long message focusing on my issues haha - still, amazing riffs as always brother! \m/

No need to apologise 🙂 I have had a similar issue actually and investigated it before my motherboard died. I’d read that it may be buffer size related and that if you lower the buffer in the Focusrite system tray popup when recording and then raise it again when mixing, that the crackles should disappear. Hopefully it’s that. Thanks for the kind words as well mate 🙂

Coming with a vengeance! I hate when the personal computer is on the fritz; it's the last thing I want to fix with my time even though I'm good at it 😅. I save all my presets to Google Drive and sync the drive to each of my PCs to share presets; it's worth doing for backups too 😁. Anyway, great riffing 🤘

Currently 19 electric guitars, a bass and an acoustic. In a one month period I'd probably play five or six. I do like to try to give them all equal time. I'm also hoping to increase my guitar time soon (I need to work on my time management) 😂
