Wanted to touch bases on the man who is filling in on guitar in Machine Head, Reece Scruggs is a friend of mine and he is from Winchester VA and he is the lead guitarist for the band Havok and my best of friends of the local band Monolith here in Winchester VA. He lived with guitars since he was born and takes his music very seriously. I think he would be a great fit for Machine Head being he has been touring with them in the last 2 years. Havok has a new album coming out also. Just giving my boy credit for his work.

Literally came here to leave this but of information. Reece and Havok are sick! And to add for Ola, Robb Flynn commented on Vogg’s post regarding this. So there’s some official closure there for him.

First you pretend to leave, you do a farewell tour, the fans buy it and take it seriously. You take a break for a few years and come back, everyone is excited, the concerts sell out, the merch sells. It's fantastic, but in the end it turns out it's all about money.

1st, thats badass we get new FEARED!!! Love Marco's vocals and Ola's ok too. XD As for Slayer, they DID do their last tour in 2019. They never said a damn thing about never playing again. Playing a few shows a year isnt touring. I can appreciate the fact that they are doing festivals so a shitload of people can come see them. Maybe not up close and personal like most Slayer shows were, but hearing the boys shredding it again would be amazing. Maybe we get a few more dates a year, but overall its great to know Slayer is back!

I thought Slayer quit in 2019 because Tom Araya wanted to recede from publicity and be a grandparent to his grandkids. Of course he is allowed to change his mind and play shows with the band, if that is what he really wants to do now. But it does have that bad taste of milking the audience

MH hasn’t released an official statement yet, but Robb did comment on Vogg’s IG post thanking him for the time they had and wishing him all the best with Decap and the fam. I’d be shocked if Reece Scruggs isn’t officially announced following the current tour. He’s done this tour as well as the other tours Vogg couldn’t make due to overlapping tours as well as the visa issues they had. Would be cool if Logan came back, although I don’t know if he can do the Demmel era stuff of the last album.

It's nice that Slayer is "kinda" back, although I'm unlikely to see them again because I rarely go to festivals, especially the huge festivals where they're most likely gonna show up (if they ever come back to Europe, it will probably be Wacken and Hellfest). I gotta say I'm still annoyed at them for NOT coming to France during their final tour. Not a single date in France, when they had at least 3 gigs in f'ing Germany, right next door. Screw that ! At least I'm lucky to have seen them quite a few times, including my 3rd concert ever (the "Tattoo the Planet" festival in september 2001, shortly after 9/11. Pantera were supposed to be there too, but they cancelled because of the WTC attack, so I never got to see them live)
@Pauligrinder10 ай бұрын
I was sad that Slayer quit because I never got the chance to see them live, so yeah, hopefully they'll hit some festival in Finland sometime soon and I'll finally get to see them. Regarding the Feared single -> I'll buy the full album when that comes out, maybe with a hoodie if it looks as cool as all the Feared artwork has been so far.
