Let’s be honest, no one’s gonna be pleased until they release a full SAO game with all floors, fully open world and equal to the first season of the anime. Except flatscreen or even modern VR tech. For some context the game would have at least 80 hours of content, including side quests. With the same graphics as breath of the wild, just more anime like. And just as open world as BOTW. And the game would probably retail at around 70-80$. Until they release a game like that, most ppl aren’t gonna be pleased with the SAO games to come.

The reasons why today’s Anime games don’t have English voices because Bandai dropped out the R1 anime distribution industry years ago, which is where they pulled in most of their voices for the video games division. Nowadays they only dub the games that are expected to pull in a large amount of profit like anything from the Tales franchise.

@@erdemkilic60 yeah, that's why I replied to you, the only thing close to aincrad is the mobile game integral factor, but the official Sao VR game might be taking so long, they've been working on it for over 4 years, because they might also be adding story as well. At the very least we have 2 sao VR games which is project aincrad and another one that's about to come out that also looks awesome made by a channel named SiFu, they're both community made games by small talented teams so they're great games but limited at the moment, project aincrad is getting constant updates and floor 2 is about to come out alongside I think improvements for the floor 1

It's because they can't make it past the chapter 1 suffering. Whoever designed chapter 1 should be shunned from the gaming industry. The sad part is chapter 2 and on the game is decently solid. I mean he didn't even go in to heart 2 heart chats or affinity, or any of the systems that get unlocked in chapter 2 like multiplayer which is kinda a big one.

I'm playing this game because I love SAO, and thr world looks very good however the character control and the world physics feel very annoying. (Kirito and eugeo have the same animations, when you run and he is following you looks like having a clone with you, even copies the sheath sword animation, when you run into a wall thw characters keep running, pressing the attack button into objects, people, walls, trees always the sword goes through the asset, that kind of physics is something that old psp games had but having that in all the recent anime games feels very weird, and they sell you the game at full price plus dlc... Don't get me wrong, I love the series, the plot, and I have played so many hours into the game at the moment, I just would love they put more attention to details in these kind of games.

Good review, most people didn’t review it, so it’s hard to find anything about it really. Did you slow some of the gamplay down at all? Near the end of combos there seemed to be like 4-5 seconds where the character just stood there doing nothing. And in the end shot when Kirito was falling after taking that attack he was falling super fucking slow it looked like. I’ve heard there were issues with the load times and at some points the frame rate, but a recent post by Bandai has stated they are working on those things.

What you witnessed there is the god awful fps drops this game is plagued with, the director and bamco has already acknowledged the severe performance issues and are working on a patch set to be out by the end of the month.

The combat is intentionally slow moving to allow players to take advantage of the many reaction based mechanics in the game, and characters fall slowly because there are many moves that get bonuses for hitting airborne enemies. Frame drops cause choppiness, not slowdown. Not to say that the game doesn't occasionally experience drops, but it seems a lot of players are misinterpreting the combat speed as a technical issue.

Got a refund on this game and used it for Ghost of Tsushima. This games a low 5/10 and needs lots of work to be enjoyable. Combat is NOT fluid at all. Fatal Bullet is much better.

It feels like they missed a lot for the review. in the technical part the game is just poorly optimized. The frame rate is awful even in the xbox one X, and there are an awful quantity of loading screens. This is actually the worst problem, as they mentioned in the review there are long story bits every few minutes but with awfully long loading screens in between. If you have nothing but time to waste then it shouldn’t be a problem. But if you want to play like and hour or so your going to be tied to loading screens and dialogue. And you have to suck it all up because this freaking game autosaves almost never, so you have to wait to save and then quit the game. The combat is really slow compared to other SAO games, it’s not as grindy as you do less combat. But definitely slower than other games in the franchise. Sad, it could have been a fun game. I suppose if you have tons of patience it can still be for some people.
