I wish you could dual wield daggers. I get why they wouldn't for Katanas because it would be so difficult. But GODDAMN, it would look so sick to be flashing around with two daggers.

i main greatsword and i would like to have my input to help out. Greatsword is slow yet has AoE. it has great inturruption for large monsters, easily causes hazards/down states and deals a great deal of damage on a downed state target using 1 of the sword skill. the greatsword is mostly about timing your sword skills for the right situation. you would want to be tanky due to the fact you will take damage even on countering and AoE mobbing. Another thing is it has a skill that cause ur risk to jump up very high. what i find interesting is how it adapts to some situations and deals massive damage if played right. it is hard to pull off but i love it.

Two hand sword have advantages too that is it's sword skill have the best defensive rank (DEF level 6). Even boss monster's skill ATK/DEF level is only 5. Meaning your sword skill won't be interrupt by any attack comparing to other weapons you have to beware that your sword skill won't be interrupt. This problem happend many times when you encounter man enemies. This might be a bit long. but if you interest in two hand sword. What about damage? It attack so slow. To increase damage you have to rely on it's sword skill Astral Hell lv.3, it temporary raise risk to 3.0 and it's passive skill. Most damage in this game come from sword skill and skill chained. No matter how slow normal attack is, most damage come from sword skill and skill chained. When skill connect every weapon have about the same speed but with some difference. Two hand sword have more delay, low hit, but higher damage. It's can further increase damage. Thirst for Blood is very good skill. It increase cri rate proportion to sp remaining. You can use it with passive Combo Pro or other SP regen skill. Fighting Spirit is another passive skill that is a must if you play two hand sword. Effect +atk15%, -def15%. Two hand sword's sword skill have adjustment on STR and VIT, but it also can mean to be STR, HP. You upgrade VIT so that you have more HP. The stats I suggest is STR, VIT, DEX, cri with passive Weapons of Darkness (HP absorption) or STR, DEX, HP, cri with passive regen skill. Some people might play STR, AGL, DEX, cri. That too is possible but you would unable to use counter effect of sword skill.

Katana is really good when u get it’s passive ability that give you 100% more risk, each regular swing can do around 2,5 k damage if the enemy gets to 6.0 risk which is kinda easy to get, and the last skill move is so good, best thing about it is that it’s pretty much a parry or if your getting agro just use that skill to get out and do a ton of damage

There is no reason to use anything but Rapier as it stands. Quadruple Pain for the Hazard Build at the end of every combo of basic attacks, and the triple hit sword skill that inflicts Slow. Inflict Slow on them nonstop, 15 seconds of enemies moving/attacking/charging at a snail's pace means you can literally solo most bosses. Even when they start their moves like Lightning Leaps, they have a long period of time before leaping, and there is a delay for their lightning crash attack for example. All which means you can Perfect Dodge or Hazard them before they can complete their attacks. Build up to Risk level 3 and you can Hazard them every 2 combos. Its really broken if you have a party with a Tank.

I'm not sure if there was something else going on but I noticed when using 2h sword most of the skills have super armor and will not be interrupted mid-cast, which I thought was kinda nice for the time I was using it

Greatswords and dual-wielding so far. I'm not a big fan of really small weapons, despite their speed. I've been using big weapons in jrpgs for a long time as I love wielding massive weapons in games and can never get enough of it. I main a DRK in FFXIV, leveled up and maxed out the proficiency for greatswords in Hollow Realization as the very first weapon in the game, and I use a Switchblade in MHW and honestly don't care how slow they are personally. I like tank roles, but will be a dps when I can as well. Anyways thanks for the informative video.

So Whips are recommended for Debuffers, but can you still use it as healer or buffer? I guess ranged weapons would be a huge benefit for those support kind of classes all in all. Same with bow, increasing damage while being a healer and stay at range sounds pretty decent

darknite121 thanks for the kind words! I would recommend buying the basic to make sure you like it and if so you can always upgrade later. Just a tip, the beginning is very slow and boring but I’d recommend playing until at least chapter 3 and if you don’t like it by then, you will know.

I like to use Dual cuz it's kirito we're talking about he has the agility to dodge some attack's my char has like 132 AGI and 113 EVA beacuse of the dual wield skill also it has the most chain attack hit like 45-54, it depends on the accuracy though but yeah Dual-Wield sword is the best for me the damage and the swiftness fits perfectly

Same, bow is great for high DPS. But its so boring to play. I would suggest leveling one of the party members who can use the bow to fill that role. Other then that I am trying to build Arts build to keep shooting out spells.

Im using the dagger builds atm so far the best aspect of it both solo and team wise is the consistant Def.Down de-buffing which allows for big skill hits so far my biggest hit itself is 200k within a 500k Combo, it May not hit big hits like katana or Dual wield but if a katana has done 10k damage within 4 hits a dagger has done the 10k damage with 30 hits and applies def down

@@drkloco1603 Yeah mate got a build Lined up the initial damage for daggers aint that much but the build is a setup for the finisher skill Build up chain on a DOWN get ur debuffs on and execute can half shot Divine bosses but its end game as you need high end gear from shady merchant

I use a dual wielding with the berserker skill tree I am only use a night sky blade and scorching blade but with the combos and chains I pull off I can easily hit 500,000 to 900,000

What is it when you press up on the D pad you say good job what does that do in the game? Also when you set semi auto battle in the options to on, you pull off combo attacks, when you turn it off how do you pull off the same moves? and example sortilena uses great sword and can pull off so many moves with semi auto on, when turn it off she only has one skill cyclone and can't seem to pull off the same moves that she can do when semi auto is set to on. Why?

It just gives a little affinity For the semi out battle mode it makes battle more simpler When u have that on it will automatically do skill connect when ur just spamming square If u notice u won't have a combo finisher but auto skill connect When u turn it off u will combo finisher on I recommend having it off as u can make ur party not useless via arts code Hope this helps

Hi! Would you mind sharing your graphic settings? Your game looks a lot better than mine and I have everything maxed out (rtx3070). Graphics seem to be glitching a lot for me, textures not loading properly, distant textures not loading correctly. I have it installed on ssd. No idea if it might be a setting-thing. The only problem I’ve had with the bow is the final “down” attack just misses, not like fighting a high lvl mod where your attacks have a %chance to miss I mean it just doesn’t go in the right spot

I just started the game only Level 16 and didnt customized kirito yet. Yeah i would love to have the bow too.. is it hard to use? I mean I was at Veteran Monster Hunter Gamer. Haha i used a lot of range weapon there. Can u do a Bow Tutorial? Build, mechanics etc.?

The game gets a lot better after chapter 2. I plan on doing a bow build just farming the gear at the moment. The builds aren’t as flexible as MH but still fun at the end. Bows aren’t hard to use at all, some would even say they are boring but they do obviously increase survivability and do some of the best damage. Build coming soon!

I love great sword! Cyclone lvl5 forces enemies to to fatal just gotta be quick! Meteor fall does awesome damage on downed! And lotta enemies block/shield, Avalanche absolutely crushes through it! And then of course the one counter stance

Gaignun Lucid I don’t think weapon specifics for a healer is necessary it really comes down to the build and the skills. I’d say if your healer is AI you want to record her abilities to heal and tweak them as much as possible

Hey Saribro! Have you tried out Renly? He uses twin boomerangs as a weapon. Have you unlocked that yet? It seems fun to play but he only has two sword skills for it.

...you say dual wielding doesn't have many skills at 7 But you say the bow had a good amount... it has 5 and one is useless I get it's a bow but it gives no variation, you just do the same pattern on everything and it gets boring quick Good video tho, thanks I go Katana and Bow most of the time

Usually you just mash the button (like for Horizontal for 1 handed sword, Cyclone for 2 handed sword, and that sword skill for the katana where the character jumps back) But for vertical (1h Sword), you have to time it a little. A short pause after the first hit connects and immediately hitting the button again after the second hit connects usually does the job for me. I haven't tried all branching sword skills yet though
