I run it uninfused with greatshield, spear, two-handed sword and curved sword talismans since nobody expects the guard counters if you aren't running a shield. Deflecting tear also helps in invasions.

I find it comical how the actual boss set doesn't have legs. I find it more comical the weird pairings of legs that look better with it then they should. Namely Miriam's trousers. The poofy frilly vide mixed with the over the top heavy armor screams dickhead noble at a jousting contest. It also somehow looks pretty good all things considered.

Man you love to see the birth of a whole new type of "too dumb to fight good but carried by weapon" with the inclusion of a simple weapon and a weapon art that seriously feels worse than pre-nerf BHS since it's a bunch of I-frames with the inclusion of a decent stab of damage. Just put bleed on it and you get a singularity of "man I'm so good at this game!"

I think it can get punished with other aoe, even knocking him down to the ground. I did it with that flower bloom twice super kick, idk if the actual kick knocked my opponent down or the poison blooming that knocked him down though, he died at the time. You'll also get invincible frames while flying mid air, so it's a good punish aoe overall. Idk if it could also get punished by wing stance heavy overhead stab or not.

This comment will probably get buried somewhere, but I've got a one shot combo build with this! Get 2 sword-lances, one with seppuku and one with stormblade. The seppuku sword-lance goes in the second main-hand slot (not offhand). For some reason, seppuku will also buff the other sword-lance, which has the stormblade ash. A seppuku'ed sword-lance will reliably bleed in 2 hits. Next, swap to the sword-lance which has the stormblade ash and use sleep pots. Pretty easy to hit an aggressive player with a free aimed sleep pot. When the opponent is slept, use stormblade on him 2 times, at point-blank range. A sleeping opponent will allow a point-blank stormblade to combo with another stormblade. And with the seppuku buff, that 2 hit combo will bleed.

the reason it feels clunky,a side from being half a lance of course, is that HTS are mostly used with jump R1s due to the JR1 being fast and with spectacular manual tracking(unlocked) as well as having a great follow up with another R1 as a friend of mine put it: "the running R2 being switched for the lance one is actually for our own safety, for as good as HTS R2 night be as a chasedown, failed hit is extremely unsafe so we now just avoid doing it"

Hidetaka has no say in the matter. He and FromSoftware was hired by Sony to help create the PlayStation exclusive game. They can’t make any decisions or request anything about it. If Sony did do something I doubt they would use FromSoftware. They’d most likely give it to one of their studios to make.
