So this game came out in the last stages of the NES lifespan more or less and it shows. The music, sound effects and graphics all seem to push the console to the limits with large sprites, fluid animation and good usage of color. Very impressive considering the technology at the time I think.

Yeah, it's on many youtuber's lists of limit-pushing NES games.

The parallax scrolling was also put to a good use.

Last Stages??? I consider last stages of the NES would be '92
@otakon173 жыл бұрын
@@platinumdiamond7 I said more or less. 2 years isn't that big of a time gap. The SNES came out in the same year. When the successor comes out, the last system is considered dead back in those days.

Great game and very impressive graphical effort for the nes back in 1990. It's just a shame the sega master system didn't get quality 3rd party developers to make a game of this quality for that system as well.

What is that shield made of? It's better than the one captain America uses. It's blocking everything from thunderbolts to dragon flame.

i was really skeptical back then since most magazines gave this a low score, but damn, had the time of my life on this, the manual was great, also...took me many years to notice this game has similiar lore like demon's souls, especially one knight in this game has the same fate as that ostrava of boletaria , amazing game, this was dark souls of the 8 bit days.
