Mistake #1 is not really a mistake in a long run, especially for casual because you eventually want to star them up. The only real difference is it take you 3.5 month to max a character to like 4-5month. But for every less shard you farm for character A, you farm one shard early for character B. The real mistake is go pass the star of what a character need. Mistake #2 is only mistake if you are meta slave, if you just want to have fun and play toward your playstyle, it isn't a mistake.

If i would HAVE to give a complaint, it is that i dont think character trees should be *that* restrictive. Perhaps a reasource tht can be farmed once a week would be a decent fix? Its still a bit restricted but does not lock up the character customization

Or maybe another resource that just let's you switch direction of your skills (left to right or right to left) in case you didn't need to get both skills. And that's easier to farm than the castalia

Right and honestly if your unsure, the game literally will give you the chance and opportunity to try the characters in which you can remember the good abilities (for example Gloria’s Spear drop animation ability is a MUST have)

I think it's a really good advice. I would never imagine that it could be unchangeable.😂 These kind of tactics game encourage you to try switch things not lock you out of certain tactics.

Younger gamers are so entitled. Nobody complained about permanence of skill (and stat) choices in Diablo 2. In fact, people still praise this design philosophy for making players make difficult choices. And rightly so. Every good thing in games getting handed to players for free is poor design. We *should* have to make tough decisions and think about them before making them.

⁠@@gotaplanstanDifference is that this is a gacha game. You could potentially ruin a character you want to use and may have even spent money on because you picked the wrong skills. Now this could be remedied by the castalia, but those are hard to come by if you don’t spend more money, and they’re also better spent on characters who would benefit from unlocking two skills in the same rank, like Gloria. Since the game automatically converts duplicates into shards instead of dupe characters, you can’t even restart the build if you managed to pull them again, major flaw imo especially since the generics aren’t even bad either. The only thing this does is makes players do research before unlocking skills. I guarantee that unless they don’t think about researching, they absolutely will let somebody else do the theorycrafting for them, like China and Taiwan tier lists.

For the skill I usually look at what bonuses their gives. I ignore everything related to Def% and simply focus on Atk% or HP%

I mean... each of the skills has a 3% stat increase tied to it. If you're min-maxing a character you'll need to unlock both skills anyhow.

Yes both are available to use. Some characters need both sides unlocked bc they have must need skills like Gloria

Well you can unlock all for receive all passive bonuse for unlocking that nod, but you are limited by equping only one basic skill, one reaction and 3 skill (active, passive, aura). And far now some skill are just weak agains common mechanic in battle or are just rarely used.

They should have item you can buy with card for $30-$40 so you can reset the skill if you make a mistake. Why because we need the whales to buy just in case they messed up. It will also help the longevity of the game.

Instead of reset they implemented a stone to open the other skill. In end game you'll probably want to open all skills because they give 3% stat bonus each even tho you can only equip a few
