How would you compare the CD Swordfysher to other branded game rods for swords?
@flygerfishing4638 Жыл бұрын
Definitely a bloody good rod for the price point better than rods twice the price from other brands Nice soft tip for seeing the bites !

What a marathon effort there lads. What is your sword line setup, about how much of what lb mono do you spool over the braid? Do your run a windon over that? I assume is low current and breakaway weights? How far do you keep your bait off the bottom?

Running 1000m of 130lb hollow braid with 50m of 130lb mono top shot too 400lb wind on to 4-500lb leader. Yeh low currentin nz we run a 24oz sinker that is rubber banded to clip and use a steel reo bar with wire hook hooked to bait hook so when it hits the bottom it falls off and left with the 24oz to keep in place . We fish where the bait is !

@@flygerfishing4638 thanks for the info. Do your mark a deep scatter layer consistently? Or only drop when you mark bait? I’m in Nauru deep dropping for swords, but only a prickly shark, oilfish and lots of pomfret so far :(
