I been playing kairyu lock deck about a week now and getting kinda board when my opponents surrenders after 3 negates (jellyfish, solemn strike, imperm) + kairyu deadlock. I’ll try to build that deck hoping i still have gems/mats to do so

It all depends on the end board you wanna be left with and what handtraps you have in your hand!

How do people think about this deck being made going 2nd. Like playing a bunch of board breakers/thrust. Is it better or worse than the hand trap build?

I think it's worse against rescue ace since hand traps are better against them.

Apologies if I seem daft, but could you quickly go through the line necessary to facilitate Chaofeng’s summon?

Any tenyi + vessel is full combo! Summon monk, use vessel and dump ashuna and add adarha, special adarha, use ashuna effect to summon vashuda, make baxia, use baxia to target monk and your lvl 1 tenyi, bring it back and make chaofeng :)

Best part is if they nib you before you make it they wasted nib and you can play normal by summoning a swordsoul and full combo

its not bad and the payoff is a lot better for end boards but you have to run 3 bricks in the deck and that blows

I played it today at locals and went 2-2. Felt like I was just playing around the bricks all day and it was the main reason I lost one of my matches. Probably taking it out next time.

@@dillonmoto7278 so another alternative you can try that’s a lot less bricky bro is just run denlong in extra deck and 1 more additional adhara. So adhara and Taia lead to full wyrm board plus the counter trap and doesn’t go against the consistency of swordsoul tenyi

Our list and mindset is very similar. Loving your list a lot. I been thinking about playing matura to have another lvl 4 teeny in deck as well and its target negation. And I been wanting to throw in veiled at 2 as well. What would you cut for the extra teeny body?
