Badass as hell. One of the all-time coolest American TV theme songs by a mile.

I wish anyone playing this theme would whack up the vintage cry baby pedal and play the wah as aggressively high and funky in the mix as in the tv recordings ! The brass section and drums here are bang on but the guitar should also be the star in this track. In the tv sessions it literally screams

I still love the wah pedal work from the original (since I was a baby) - it is sooo cool man! ❤
@culttelevision2 ай бұрын
@@Orlando-nf9hl It's amazing. I was listening to the isolated track and i think what makes it stand is not only that it's so high in the mix but its its through a distortion pedal AND the vintage wah pedal . That's what gives it that aggressive edge.

- Klasse Kapelle. Knackiges Spiel. Danke fürs Hochladen.

@@SWRBigBand This is one of the very few tv series of the great 1970th with sound called music. Pat Williams was a great composer and even for those who are not that much interested into crime stories the music itself is worth just to listen to and to enjoy the large sound of that fancy big band.

Would love to hear Tower of Power take on this song, their horn section is as tight as it gets, just listen to "What is Hip" or "Squib Cakes" Studio or Live version. I never thought the TV show version of SOSF was as good as should have been back then. And to think when that show came on the air in '72, TOP was at their peak across the bay in Oakland.
@thewipsportstalkfan31605 жыл бұрын
Streets of San Francisco came out at a time when both television and society were in spite of counter culture quite still rather conservative. Quinn Martin couldn't do the hard gritty type of show that it couldve been. If it was a movie yes TV no. you had industry standards codes practices dos and donts that you dont have to deal with now. though yes, tame by today's standards, by universal standards TSOSF was quite revolutionary for it's time. it would be a decade before cop shows became fully multifaceted and another decade before the genre became closer to the gritty realism of cop life.
