Wario didn’t really get that much worse per se, but he did get harder due to those frame data nerfs to U-Tilt and Waft. Gluto’s opponent being a Jigglypuff player doesn’t make things easier for him either due to the far more limited confirm window

Game 5 was DEAD EVEN at 16:17, but BassMage only needed 20 seconds to find a gimp and a zero-to-death to earn a two-stock lead and basically seal away the set. Do not underestimate Jigglypuff in this game, y'all.

He just doesn’t have the muscle memory. That’s one of the better things that Hbox does. But the rest of his game isn’t on par with bassmage

Rest is just not worth going for most of the time. If puff rests with only one stock left at high percent and the opponent has a stock left, you pretty much lose. Also most characters have disjointed moves that you can’t parry rest, not really worth phishing for them.

@@creaty2852 yea I’ve noticed Bass doesn’t ever rest, while hbox relies on it for like all his kills. Probably why Bass is better, doesn’t get so heavily punished on errors. But if Bass had Hboxs rest abilities on top of the rest of his superior play, man that would be nasty

It’s pretty apparent yeah, especially when you look at attributes, being both super mobile aerial puffballs basically. Jiggs is slower on the ground obviously, but still they’re both very dangerous and tricky to punish while in the air, and of course the waft/rest similarity too

in the moment it's hard to commit to it especially when if you miss you literally die, it's obvious rest works in hindsight, but warios drift is so good that he could have also landed right next to bassmage instead of inside him. the pound was bc most people hold sheild after getting parried and the pound sheild breaks.
