If you're having a problem with the thicken part, just set all the end point angles to 0. i.e set the 5 & 3.5 degrees angles to 0. Then it will work.

If anyone has issue's with "thicken surface". This can happen if the mirrored shape of the saddle has too many harsh/sharp curves. This blocks "thicken surface" from working since the thickened surface would collide with itself. Go to "evaluate" and "curvature" then check if any areas of the mirrored saddle are red (red meaning the curve of the saddles mirroring is too harsh/sharp in that specific spot). If any red spots appear go to the first sketch and play around with the shape of it, attempting to make it as smooth as possible in the places that the red appeared. It may also help to play around with the many sketches made on planes 1-5, the goal is still to give the mirroring feature as smooth of a connection point as possible. Then keep checking the entire mirrored saddle with "curvature" until it has no red spots on it. After that the "thicken surface" feature should work.

For anyone having problems with the thicken feature, try adding a fillet on the midline of the two surfaces. I tried a 12 mm fillet and then I could thicken the surface successfully.

Select the line that runs across the center of the seat (the line that is created after you mirror the surface) and add a fillet. Play around with the fillet radius, or the fillet method. It worked for me, good luck!

I had the same problem. I rebuilt the boundary surface a couple of times and then it finally worked and thickened ok but I don't understand why.

Has anyone had a received the error "the sketch is not suitable to created projected curve. It has more than one open/closed profiles" when trying to project the curve for the rails? Thanks!

the problem come to the sketch we make in right plane at the very beginning，you can change some contronl points of the spline to 0 degree instead of 5 degree, then you can get thickness

Why add the points for the Boundary surface? Thicken will not work with out these points. Plus the thicken feature works but at the ends of the saddle the end points of the solid is distorted. Unfortunate that this happens.
