Originally in the beta of swtor you were able to kill certain companions including quinn the moment he betrays you. Unfortunately, they removed the ability to kill them because a lot of people were mad that they lost companions when actively trying to kill them.

Im mixed with Theron. You're technically not wrong but in my understanding it was nessesary to get close to the enemy and he's confident enough that anything he does against me wont stop or hurt me.

Right and if people actually read Annihilation, Theron's character in SWTOR makes A LOT more sense. Theron and Lana are legitimately 2 of the best characters they could have added to SWTOR when they did and I wholly believe SoR was the last time they game was "Good"

Yeah Broomark is a “kill every time” for me. The only thing that saves Xalek from that fate is his Alliance alert makes him almost interesting. Moreso than the main story ever did. Also why are so many of the killable comps Imp? There are a few Rep companions that surely could use a terminal decision point. Zenith. Felix. (He just comes wandering back to squat uselessly on your bridge. Learn to Pay Rent Dude!), Killing Corso would be a blow to poor hygiene everywhere.

Yeah, ad much as my inquis is like "power, power good stuff, gimme. I wanna be the one commandi g the empire" if marr said at some point that he will take the official spot of leader of the empire(ig he would have had a lot of support on that), my inquis wouldve not been against it. Marr literally the perfect person. My inquis has the same mindset there. Sith infighting isnt good, the empire is more important than own power hunger and both activly fight side by side with their men. (Though my inquis jas that mindset, there is typic sith left, killing weak and useless e.g. but never just fighting coz he wants more or he doesnt like some1, except thanatel. He died of that reason lol)

My biggest regret in this game is not figuring out early on the correct choise path to kill Kaliyo on all my characters that have done Kotfe (Yes, even the LS ones)

@@p5ychojoe138 If you still want to know how: Send Jorgan on the main mission and Kaliyo as a distraction. When Havoc Squad gets discovered during the mission, you have to tell her to await further orders and forbid her to go after Jorgan. She will disobey the order which unlocks the kill option when they return. Just pick the low dialogues "This can't go unpunished" or such. Then you can banish or kill her. (do the opposite if you want to kill Jorgan)

On my Agent character it just didn't make sense to kill Theron. If there is any class that would understand Theron's actions, it would be an agent. Theron is one of my all-time favorite companions!

My choices were Koth(screw that guy, like who tf does he think he is), Kaliyo, Scorpio, Quinn, and... Ashara. Now I want to like Ashara, but she really didn't seem to fit well with the Sith Inquisitor(unless you are male). Felt like she was going to be another Jaesa, but became even more rebellious and just a pita. That duel between former master and apprentice seemed hella lame, like the SI faced down Dark Council members, the Emperor, his children, and countless opponents yet an impure ex-Jedi was able to fight to a sstandstill. Hell nah.

And THAT'S the misunderstanding with Ashara and why people don't like her. She's not Jaesa. The Warrior didn't make Jaesa fall. They broke her. Baras even warned about it before you found her, if you mentioned making her an apprentice. Warrior did it wrong and she became a psycho, cannon fodder Sith. Kallig made Ashara fall. She is their legacy apprentice. No matter how you play Kallig, even as a full on dark 5, they're not a typical Sith. I mean, Zash taught practically nothing because of her plan. We learned first from old Kallig, then by necessity, slightly from Thanaton, the Voss, and potentially 5 Force ghosts, some of which were fallen Jedi. Their story is, from jump, about just being dark side and Sith isn't enough. So they passed that on to Ashara. Who cares if she calls herself a Jedi. That's just the desperation she's clinging to because she's still the hero in her own story. No Jedi considers her one and she's following a Sith Lord. However, she's taking to the teachings and even corrupting Jedi, whether she realizes it or not, or kills them. She bringing Kallig even more Jedi to twist. She contemplates and combines the two Codes, becoming something more, like Kallig. Xalek is the typical Sith they use as an executioner. Ashara is someone they cultivate to make a mark on the galaxy. The alliance alert is also misunderstood. First, look at her, all black, channeling the dark side, but yellow Saber. That in itself would mean a sentinel, who dips in the dark side. She full on embraced Kallig's teaching, turned from Jedi and Sith and waged her own battles with the Eternal Empire, etching out victories. People think she thought she could compare to Kallig. No. That's why she didn't return. She was scared their influence on her would be too great. She wanted to show her old master how much she's grown from their teachings. If you reject that, Kallig's intent isn't to kill, but punish. That was some casual lightning against a very powerful Force adept. If they were trying to kill, would be two hands with lightning raining from the sky and a little charge up, like the tend to do. When Ashara blocked it, and it wasn't so effortlessly, she'd truly broken her chains. Kallig let her be. Their job was complete. I always accept her back though. She can continue my teachings in the Force Enclave. At that point, with all the amassed power Kallig has, and all they been through, trying to kill her because you wanted to Force her to be a lowly apprentice again is just... beneath them. They literally have hundreds of Force adepts under them.

Kalyo is definitely the most satsifyint to see dying. In my head canon the Alliance is basically run by the sith warrior and jedi knight cause these are the most related to the emperor storywise and are... well the main stories. Kaleo and Koth get killed by the sith warrior cause that's something they would do. The sith warrior leaves Theron to die but the the jedi knight saves him. I believe the sith warrior and the jedi knight could agree that scorpio is dangerous and must be killed. The other companions I really don't care about

Consular is more of a main story than the Knight tbf. The Knights story is lack luster compared to the Consular and the ramifications of their story. The Knight is replaceable by either the Consular or Sith Warrior for all of their achievements. Hell only the Consular even got remembered and has a tomb.

Yeah, they wanted to go back to Rep vs Emp story and did not figure out a better way to get rid of the Eternal Fleet that put you on same standing as the major powers than have one of your main companions betray you. What really gets me though is that they tried to romance Koth with Lana instead of Theron. Even with her leaving him in hands of revanites or maybe because of it, they could have had long and fascinating romance if you nudged them that way and did not romance either of them.

@@Matej_Sojka I agree to that second part. I think they were trying the same thing that they did with Jacob Taylor in ME2, to make him seem more than he turned out to be. If they really wanted to delete KOTXX part though, I wish they'd allowed us to do so ourselves. Like, our grip on the fleet is tenuous, and it's fighting to get free, so we sacrifice the Gravestone to destroy the fleet. My personal biggest gripe with it is that we lost it to an enemy that was never fully fleshed out until the last second. Also, a damn SCORPIO clone.

In Theron's case, i just realized something. Lana's literally guilty of the same thing and yet people tend to either forget or.let that go. Somehow Theron having to fake betraying the Alliance in order to stop a super weapon and a man bent on using it is still big enough to kill over. But Lana purposely letting a colleague get captured and tortured in order to gain more info a mad cult is justifiable? Don't get me wrong, I like both characters. I just find it funny how Lana gets a pass but Theron doesn't.

I gotta disagree with Theron. Whilst my Darth Imperius will gladly invoke the full force of the dark side on any traitors, Theron betrayed us to help us, and the threats we faced potentially could have been worse if it wasn't him pretending to try to kill us. He deployed assets against us that he knew we could defeat, but just strong enough to make it look like the real deal. He deserves a slap on the wrist, but his reasons were honestly pretty sound, he certainly doesn't deserve death. If anyone deserves death, it's Malavai Quinn. He's secondly only to Koth and Skadge in terms of being a complete clown. Broonmark and Xalek may be candidates too if you're more inclined towards LS.

As a Sith or Mostly Darkside leaving Theron behind is a must. Especially for my SW who went through Betrayal all her life. First Baras then Quinn then the Emperor twice (if you trust him for the 2nd time). Forgiving him wouldnt made any sense for my character although it broke my heart to see Lana kinda devastated for a sec. She is probably the most cool headed and pragmatic person ever but this decision bothered her you could see that. Sure she is like "Whats done is done." but I think it broke a bit of the trust between her and the Commander. Its def. not a easy decision. At least from the perspective of my character.

Koth - The war criminal who did the same thing to your nation and another nation, bombarding planet after planet with war, when his excuse for all of his actions is "for valkorion", before deciding it was enough and then betraying his own people only after Arcan got on the throne for a few years (which means he wouldnt have betrayed Zakuul if it was Valkorion giving him the orders to commit genocide) While you're trying to escape after being imprisoned for a handful of years and dying of corbon-poisoning, he's btchng about you not stopping an explosion, when it wasn't even due to your actions that caused the explosion? when it was Vaylin who did it in the first place just for 'funsies', you just decided not to clean up her mess cuz you're literally on deaths door after just being revived from a pseudo-death? Wasted Skadge on every character I had except one. That character I had Skadge running dressed up topless in pink and yellow shorts and boots to parade/dance around Empire Space Dock. I'd just put him on top of other people that were going around and trolling other players to chase them off. It was fun.

With Koth, my warrior is going to spare him and offer him a chance to return (I believe he refuses). Why? My warrior has been trying to improve himself. Not having Vette by his side (and with Valkorian in his mind), he reverted to his old ways before Koth called him out. He ultimately saw that Koth was right and planned for Kaliyo's eventual demise ever since. The other that I'm absolutely killing is Skadge. My Smuggler (if I ever take him that far) will 100% side with Koth on rigging the Gravestone in order to avoid theft. He'd rather see his ship destroyed than stolen.

The only two I have to disagree with are Scorpio and Theron. 100% believe that Theron as #1 is a bait to comment for the algorithm because no shot. Reasoning below. Looking at lore and dialogue, Scorpio is just following a purpose. That purpose was to be reintegrated into Iokath to be free from the constraints of the mortal world and troubles that dwell within, not only for herself but others like her like the Gemini units. "No tree, it is said, can grow to heaven unless its roots reach into hell" is a perfect analogy of Scorpio trying her best to reach her form...or at least a robot's form of nirvana. Do I condone her actions to get to that point? No. Do I understand her actions? Absolutely. As for Theron, you can make that same argument with Lana regarding the covert teams relating to the Revanites and Ziost where they are fighting the Sith Emperor that knew ways to control the minds of EVERYONE on the planet so that's a weak argument. The haircut, not his fault, it's the devs for making a piss poor attempt on the mohawk there but at least the armor set is cool. As for the Nathema Conspiracy and Traitor storyline, I look at it this way: Theron saw a potential end to the Alliance that he helped built, something he believed in and decided to act to stop that problem. To solve that problem, He built confidence for this nefarious Order of Zildrogg while leaving a breadcrumb trail throughout the storyline that was risking his life, name and legacy FOR US. Honestly, his story reminds me of Itachi from Naruto on some levels. If you kill him, you're seeing through a very narrow lense and not looking at the bigger picture. Saving him and then exiling him is still kinda fucked but understandable in a sense. Though, keeping him around has to be the right answer because this is the home that he helped built and the one he truly belongs in....when you look at his lore, that means a HELL of a lot to him. For the other three, let's start with Koth. Koth could've been a fun character but the way he was handled was terrible by Bioware especially the dialogue options. They really dropped the ball on him, so I don't feel bad killing him but just disappointed in Bioware for not making something great from him. As for Skadge and Kaliyo, they are two sides of the same coin of unlikability. Skadge has an amazing voice actor but has no character growth throughout his time in the game, so he's one-dimensional. To top it off, he's a sociopath so he's the best example of a mustache-twirling villain that is borderline cartoonish, so I don't feel bad at all or even disappointed because that's literally who he was made to be. As for Kaliyo, you see some form of character growth, but she is always going to be the cold-hearted psychopath at her core. With her actions, you can tell she has teams' interests at heart but she's doing it her way...most of the time. So, yeah, I guess the unpredictability and roguish attitude from her could be considered an unlikable trait but if I were anyone....I would just exile her and continue let her do her thing somewhere else.

I can agree with you on Theron wanting to do the right thing all the time (because that's the normal thing to do) though the part of him not learning his mistakes, very much disagree with. I believe you need to do some reckless actions once in a while when you're basically just an SIS operative facing off against two ancient cults and a galactic threat from three different emperors to actually make some form of impact for a better future. Speaking of those emperors, Theron was one of the cofounders of the Alliance after he burned his bridge with the Republic to battle those emperors because it needed to be done since a joint effort like the one against Revan which was formed AFTER the cult was revealed. If he never learned from his mistake, he would've just stayed with the Republic and been an advisor. Also, the Order of Zildrogg...helllloooo. Theron was already duped by one ancient cult; he's not going to let another do it again. Considering what happened on Rishi and Yavin, I'm sure he learned from that mistake whole-heartedly. I would've agreed with you 100% when he was first introduced in the comics because at that time, I thought he was an edgy brat with two legacies he couldn't live up to but that was 20 years before the current setting. Usually, the people around him are dying are from the enemies or from the commander's choices.... not his, mostly. If you mention the Nathema storyline, that was for the right purpose and the people who died along the way were actual enemies/co-conspirators of the Order of Zildrogg anyway. He was an annoying character that grew to be an excellent character, over time. I don't have your perspective on what makes a good character and what constitutes decent writing in your standards, but Theron is and probably will always be a memorable character in the Star Wars community. Though, if i'm going off what you're saying about recklessness and doesn't learn from mistakes while doing the right thing when everyone close to him is dying....it's Fideltin Rusk. That's the character you're supposed to hate because everything you just said is HIM. That's why it's hard to choose between Skadge and Rusk, because they are both bad characters in their own way. Ziost at first glance was a fuckup by Theron but a lot of the underlying elements point to Saresh playing 5D chess and playing both the agent she's employed and Theron as well. Honestly, makes sense why there is anonymity between Theron and Saresh when she's being put on trial.

@@ckoutpost The only negative that occurs because of sparing her is that the Gravestone isn’t ready yet because Vaylin attacks too soon while the upgrades to the Gravestone is being applied She even with no ulterior motives gives the Gemini free will and we see numerous ones actively choose to leave for exploration of their own indicating she actually also cares about her ‘sisters’ freedom as well as her own.

Are you talking about the agent who kills Scorpio? If so, she's wearing a crafted set. It's the Trimantium Onslaught set. It's an armormech schematic and requires level 56 to wear. The only piece that isn't from that set is the belt because I hate that belt. I'm using the Organa Statesman instead, but any decent belt will do. Hope that helps.

Skadge? yes immediately.. this guy is too much even for an evil bounty hunter. Koth - I didn't like it from the start... he loved the gravestone far too much, somehow it was clear to me from the start that he would try to steal it. My agent also killed Kaliyo. Scorpio wasn't worth considering either. With Theron, I was initially hesitant to let him go because I had romanticized him (I was just traveling with my 2 char, smuggler, and didn't have a clue yet ^^) but I sent him away. the others killed him, depending on how dark I played. except my Jedi...they all sent him away. ah yes, and Quinn... the last encounter with me didn't do him any good either ^^ ​

THANK YOU! Finally, someone else who sees reason where Theron Shan is concerned. So many go on and on about hating Malavai Quinn. But honestly? He's hardly in the top 10 of the worst traitors and love-to-hate attitudes among companions. Theron Shan was irritating from the start, and as you said, kept messing up. His status as a "spy" is an over-used excuse, as if that should entitle him to stab you in the back more than once. And while at first (being a Sith at heart) I did like Kaliyo--I took extreme pleasure in killing her at last. I'm still on the fence about Koth myself. Skadge? Hell yeah, good riddance. If only they let us get rid of Pierce or Broonmark like that. I'll admit to being irritated with Scorpio, but apparently I found a decent balance to where interactions with her never warranted killing her. She's tied with Koth to my PoV. And although I am Imperial Red, I'd kinda like to see a Republic-based list if there is one. I don't play Republic, so I haven't explored that side at all.

I disagree about Skadge. At least as an imperial, there is no way you side with Rusk. I love Skadge as a character if I play Dark side though, so unless I play light side, Rusk always dies. Killing Kaliyo as an agent is something I've never done, as a warrior and Inquisitor, sure. I'd say Quinn is much more a companion I'd kill if I got the chance, which you can as a warrior. Theron, I agree with. I have spared him, but it felt wrong to do.

Why? It makes perfect sense to side with Rusk if you are looking for soldiers. Even Dark Side. Dark Side doesn't just mean Chaotic Evil. If you are looking as a Lawful Evil character, they would side with Rusk. And I can even argue some Neutral or Light Side characters would side with Skadge.

Personally I don't kill ANYONE that is my companion in ANY game. Why you may ask? Very simple when I found out about the Dark Side ending for KOTOR which by the way played the game and beat it when I was nine and have replayed it MANY times. Anyway when I found out about that dark side ending and the things done in that ending I was sick, had a total mental breakdown, cried my eyes out, took two days before I realized that was NOT the ending was going to choose and it was optionial and swore on that day I would NEVER kill any of my companions in ANY RPG no matter how much they deserved it. Anyway I wouldn't kill any of the characters because killing them is a Dark side action and well- I play light side characters which make light side decision 9 times out of 10 and really the only times I make a dark side choice is if it's the pragmatic option and I don't consider it stupid: I mean I have 100% broken the Jedi Code in all my jedi playthroughs the moment the option to get laid comes my way screw that rule it was created by Atris and it ended up dooming the Jedi Order. So I'd adjust the title to be something along the lines of a good number of people decided to gladly end, because killing my allies is just a line I won't cross even if the betray and try to kill me that would be lowering me to their level.

I have to be honest I actually disagree on Kaliyo I actually killed aric his consistantly talking about how following orders is important and loyalty is too. Only to disobey the commander if they trust Kaliyo to finish her job. Getting his men killed only to push to blame on her. Even during the trooper story he was brash and even whiny about his place in the story. I agreed to put him back in his rank over Elara but I feel now it was the wrong call he is good at his job but he never learned to keep his mouth shut. I am shocked he got as far as he did before meeting the trooper.
