LETS GO I've been waiting since 7.0 dropped Do want to correct one thing - it isn't the tactical that refreshes Affliction, it's a passive on your tree that makes crushing darkness and halted offensive refresh it. And, Affliction gives a guaranteed crit on Thundering Blast, which in my experience makes it better to use Force Speed on (Not to mention recklessness turns it into a supercrit, easy 90k+ when all your offensives line up)

One little thing id like to add is that if u are timing it correctly u can use affliction right as u are hard casting halted offensive or thundering blast which takes away a whole global cooldown. Basically use affliction at the same time as u are finishing your hardcast of halted offensive.

I‘ve seen people talk about this a lot. If you use affliction after a cast, you’ll still have to wait 1.5 secs for your gcd before you can use your next ability. And for the cast before affliction, the gcd will start at the beginning of the cast, and will already be over once the cast has finished. 2 abilities, 2 gcd, no gcds are skipped. This cast -> instant pattern makes abilities hit at the same time, which can be useful, but it does not skip gcds

Critical Ravi was actually the one who corrected me on this topic. It was a simple mistake on my part not noticing that the GCD starts as soon as you channel an ability. Making it seem like the next cast is happening very quickly without waiting on a GCD. But yes what Ravi said is correct.

@@MasterZhao Neither does, Halted Offensive/Chain Lighting and Mind Crush refresh it. You still don’t really have to pay attention to it, but it might fall off sometimes if you have to target swap a bit in operation

A little tip: if there is a sorc heal on your team let them shield u with the bubble. It will have additional buffs for thier heals and they can't bubble u up if there is the 20s debuff.

They have changed some abilities, what do you pick for PVE on 51? 3% dmg reductiono? Cause no longer you can cast some spells during movement unlees you are a healer

I have always this trouble of light armoury. When I get to Alderan, for example. I cannot really fight towrd stronger or elite enemies. Once I am going for clash I am ending up death like in 10 seconds. Might you help me please?

I‘ve been using the rotation since I‘ve learned about ist, and it‘s doing quite a bit more than the priority system. Halted Offensive is just really good

surprisingly no, Ling gets a buff that gives you so much free alacrity that you only need 2.2 to get the 1.4 second gcd

Hey now .... That jab at FF is uncalled for ... There are PLENTY of spells that take 1.5 seconds to cast while weaving in a ton of damage... If you're talking Black Mage ... They're Made to be a turret that charges up a giant explosion, and detonates it over the target's head, over and over... Both are great games, don't bash on something you likely didn't get to Endgame in to know that "2.3 seconds feels like forever" ... because it goes by in a blink.

As lightning got nuked in 7.1 or 7.2 , lightning does only a little more dps than madness, but madness has far more survivability. Go with madness

There was a bug making pubside version of halted offensive hit harder. It was already fixed, so now they're literally the same.

The perfect number is about 7.14% alacrity, but frankly go for like 7.2% to compensate for lag. If you have enough gear you can go for the higher 10.4% threshold for the 1.3 second GCD.
