I think SWTOR should have been released earlier in the timeline so we could have first hand experienced all of these stories and wars as content. It sounds pretty ambitious, but it could have even tied into the Legacy idea of the game. Where your character(s) literally go through many years of history throughout the many wars and skirmishes throughout the galaxy. Instead of just the "Great War" which is the aftermath of all of this history being shown.
@nscoby93117 жыл бұрын
that would've been cool but I think the "Great War" timeline gave Bioware more creative freedom
@corruptangel67936 жыл бұрын
I don't mind. It's a common theme in Legends to have the story/game take place at the beginning and or ends of major conflicts. The Mandalorian War with KOTOR, the Jedi Civil War with KOTOR 2, the Clone Wars with the Prequels, the Galactic Civil War with the OT, and the Great Sith War with this. It allows more time to explore the war itself with comics, book series(s) and other media down the road. Which they did do for this war, making several books and a comic series.

It's too bad they didn't do the last episode, that's the start of if it all. The 100 years war ends, the Dark Jedi are exiled and sentenced to a random hyperspace jump to unknown coordinates (a mix of mercy and "good luck dont run into a planet lol") They find themselves in Korriban in a young Sith Empire (just a couple of planets etc). The Sith being a thriving species native to Korriban are naturally attuned to the Dark Side and have a culture of darkness, mysticism & alchemy. SUDDENLY out of hyperspace the Dark Jedi arrive, attuned to the darkside, trained with logic and reason and weilding higher technology and understanding. While pretending to be allies, they make themselves quickly up the power structure, amazing their force-oriented dark side culture with their powers and finally seized powers. Finally after subjugating an entire species and culture in one swift strike the "Lords of the Sith" were born, with one assuming the mantle of "Dark Lord of the Sith", Ironically usually being a non-pure sith (eventually the Dark Jedi sith lords inter-bred with the Sith species etc etc so lots of hybrids and just plain ol' non-sith eventually)

Here's what drives me nuts about star wars. No matter what happens, the "bad guys" of whatever era, never really become weakened in any significant way. They can lose an entire fleet, and one movie later they're at full power, threatening everyone again. They are never the underdog. Ever. And it gets old.

When it's all said and done, Darth SIDIOUS/ PALPATINE was a cowardly moron who died by getting thrown off a cliff by a one armed cyborg who just got his ass kicked and SIDIOUS/PALPATINE doesn't even sense it coming. I mean seriously guys , come on, you act like SIDIOUS/PALPATINE is invincible but he has the most ANTICLIMACTIC and UNEVENTFUL death in the ENTIRE STAR WARS SAGA ! EVERYONE dies MORE HEROICALLY than sidious/ Palpatine. ,!!! QUI GON JINN, DARTH MAUL,, COUNT DOOKU, OBI WAN and even non force users like JANGO FETT AND GENERAL GRIEVOUS put up a BETTER FIGHT at the end of there lives than sidious/Palpatine. And the funny thing is, sidious' name doesn't even imply that he's all powerful !!! If you type in synonyms for insidious you will find words like deception, shrewd, cunning, duplicitous, sneaky etc. You won't find words like ALL POWERFUL, UNSTOPPABLE, GOD, OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, INVINCIBLE ETC But you act like it doEs, you sidious fanboys are pathetic... lol some say sidious could use sith magic to see the future ??? Lol, ok So could he see himself SPLATTERED ACROSS the death star basement after vader threw his ass of the cliff.? Could he see Luke on endor ? Could he see Luke blowing up the first death star ?? Could he see his own face getting fried by windu ??? Hahaha hahaha SIDIOUS DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING !!! That's why Luke said " YOUR OVERCONFIDENCE IS YOUR WEAKNESS " THE EP. 3 novel says " THE NEW SITH COULD NOT BE DESTROYED WITH A LIGHTSABER, THEY COULD NOT BE BURNED BY ANY TORCH OF THE FORCE " yeah, that's because the NEW SITH would be killed by SPLATTERING ACROSS THE DEATH STAR REACTOR CORE after he was THROWN OF A CLIFF in episode 6. Hahaha !!! Stop trying to twist the novel to make it seem like sidious won. The novel ends the same way the scene in the movie ends.... WITH SIDIOUS ON HIS ASS WITH A BIG PURPLE LIGHTSABER IN HIS FACE !! CHECKMATE ! So i leave you with the same words mace told sidious when he won " YOU HAVE LOST !" Lol MAY the force be with you......
