I noticed you recommended Armormech / Artifice because augments and unique crystals/dyes... I recommend Cybertech because augments, cybertech grenades (pvp grenades) qnd Biochem for stims which is an end-game MUST.

Nice work. Only tip"s I like to add is there is some cross over crew skills and if your new to the game or coming back keep in mind making the parts grants level fast and soon out pace the matts but keep them for the next craft you pick might need them.

I have a couple of questions about companions and crafting efficiency: Should you hold on crafting until you level up your companions' affection? Should you level affection until after KotFE? I understand that you lose all of your companions and only get a few back. Thanks.

1) Upping a companions affection for crafting is mainly used for more hardcore crafting - ex crafting to sell or crafting expensive items. I wouldn't worry too much about it if you are crafting for fun. I usually start crafting as soon as I get to fleet the first time on characters i craft with. 2) I wouldn't wait, but you might want to google what companions you get back/keep. When the influence update happened I basically just picked one companion I knew I wouldn't lose and leveled them up for when I needed them for fights or crafting the occasional rare thing. dulfy.net/2015/10/21/swtor-fallen-empire-companion-influences-guide/

Ok so Im free to play, and one of my charakters has underworld trading, so If I have a another charakter with armortech, Im able to supply him with stuff, or do I also have to get a another charakter woth salvage, I also found a ton of these bags with crafting supplies, should I farm those too?

Yup!! They can share resources. You'll want to get a stronghold and put a legacy bank in it for easy sharing kzbin.info/www/bejne/iZvZe3-hZdB0n9U For armormech, you need underworld trading (which you have) and scavenging. You will need to decide if you want a 3rd character for scavenging, or buy scavenging materials on the gtn. As for the bags it's up to you!!

You're still over 4 levels away form being able to craft, Artifice or Synthweaving will be god for you :)

@@Swtorista thx a lot, just had quite a hard decision tho yesterday. I'm now lvl 11 and have my saber staff. Anyways my guild gave me the lower robe of "force herald", so I went out and bought the top half for only 40k, unfortunately has lower stats than what I had, but looks really cool. Btw, saw your top jedi robes vid, did you know that, I think it was something like shadow silk aegis, is now on GTN if you look.

Yes! All skills can craft them but they require pieces from multiple skills. The schematic for a Universal Prefab MK-1 can be bought from your crafting trainer at crafting level 450.

Totally up to you, I've done both. Sometimes I leave it till the end so I can focus on enjoying the story. Other times it's fun to craft and gather while you run between missions.

my advice would be to wait till you have a second companion (the ship droid will do) and while you run quests with your main, send the inactive companions on crew missions

If you get 1 crafting skill and 1 gathering skill you can make it work - you will just need to buy some of the materials from the GTN or make a second character to gather with. I think you also have a lower RE chance. So it's not 'lucrative' but you can still craft everything yourself if that's what you enjoy. And you can't get the highest-end schematics from Galactic Command while preferred.

So um when you send your companions on missions to get the materials do they get the exact thing that you need? And also how can you choose the right mission to send them on?

It will tell you what category and what level of materials you will get if I remember right. So when I want a specific thing, I send out as many companions as I can in the right grade and category, then hope I get lucky and save the other materials I get for when I need them later. If I'm in a rush I just buy the materials straight from other players on the GTN!

Yep, all cartel market should allow for an augment. I can't think of any armor that doesn't allow you to augment it.

If you took Synthweaving, you could craft synthweaving gear for your character. Crafting is not what you use to truly gear your character at a high level though.

Like how can you sell a bundle of helmet, chest and gloves together? I don't think you can. If you mean the crafted components, hmm... try dragging the entire pile from your inventory in to the GTN and see if that works?

Hey Jon. The crystals you pick up off the ground are crafting materials that are combined with other things. This vid shows you how to craft a lightsaber but it's a super similar process for crystals: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6S4oX6Oh76rd9E The first you can craft is a blue crystal.

+LilTRoberts1000 Exactly, it is just like the colors for mission XP before 4.0 when you could overlevel. If any side quest dropped from green to gray you should drop it (unless it had a really special/interesting/unique reward you were after) because at green it was worth XP to you, but at gray it would drop to basically nothing. And the same color scheme is used for crafting levels.
