LeLe sung the first verse Coko followed, Taj did the second portion and Coko followed up .. Great job ladies. Sad the weren’t able to do this back when they started out

Back then it was popular for female male and R&B groups to have a lead singer. Taj and Leelee’s voice complete SWV sound and harmonies with the formula of coko being the lead singer.

@@jeremycollins8045 I don’t care about the formula it was a great disservice to the group and it showed during VZ and throughout their entire career. Their saving grace was the song selections. In fact it tied group members together and benefitted the record label more than the group. Coko solo career suffered because of the “Formula”. In fact harmonies can be stacked by one person.

The work of all first albums is to introduce and to establish a groups sound. They did just that. Coko singing beautifully on leads and all the girls complimenting each other in the backgrounds. Leads for Lelee and Taj started on their second album. That is still technically when they started out. Everyone from SWV has been singing leads for years. Only people who aren't true fans to this day still think Coko did all the leads and that Taj and Lelee can't sing. Singles were released, videos were made that show these girls singing.

This was a bonus track from their 2012 comeback album “I Missed Us.” It was on an edition sold exclusively at Target. They’d performed this on “New York Undercover” 17 years earlier. It always great to hear Lelee and Taj step up, as Lelee does at the beginning of the first verse and Taj does at the start of the second. Coko really belts out those higher notes and brings it on home. 👏🏽

SWV did a great job singing Switch song -they'll never be, I'll always love the original version of they'll never be by Switch. Bobby Debarge always had a recognizable voice that'll never be forgotten. Silk also did a remake of they'll never be,. They did a great job with that song too.
