i bought some used dellorto DHLA's turbo injection carbs for my veteran car, i diden notice the bad banjo bolts when i installed them so i just fired it up asap, when i came around to the engine bay there where just gass everywhere had no idea carburetter systems where under that high pressure :P

The can am has 2 tunes on it already. I read you can leave your normal high power tune on it for normal gas, and change your eco mode to the e85 tune, that way when you travel you dont have to worry about finding the right gas.

Welcome to the stage 5 club. Get some paddles. I drove my stage 5 first with no paddles in glamis, it was okay. The paddles were night and day difference. When you go to oldsmobile and line up with the other x3's and let them take off before you and then just blow past them it puts a smile on your face. I am not a speed guy either but I do love acceleration.

FYI during the winter you’re more likely to get E70to E75 do to the way it’s mixed from the refinery when it’s loaded on the trucks around the end of April to the beginning of may it will go back to E85 tell it start get colder again

if you put the siphon hose in the can quite a ways and put a shopvac on top of the filler on the can it will draw it out that way super easy

I have an e85 flex fuel kit for my Cadi, it will change the tune based on the ethanol percent. Does evo make this or do you have to know your percent? E85 is very inconsistent in percentage of ethanol out of the pump.

We made sure to adjust the fuel with purchased E98 to ensure at least E85. The ECU in the X3 doesn't allow for this to be added easy. Evo is doing a boatload of legwork to make this a thing in the future.

So, does that tune bring any fears of grenading the motor prematurely? I thought e85 was bad for all small motors? Different mapping and injectors fix that? My truck even says no e85.

Yeah its specifically tuned to run e85. E85 requires about 30% more fuel than regular gas so everythings tuned and settled to handle it long term.

The problem with putting E85 in vehicles that wasn't designed for, is alcohol will eat rubber that wasn't designed for e85 and a non e85 trucks don't have the ability to add extra fuel that's needed

I don't know if it will have any problems, and I really doubt anything catastrophic. They test the crap out of these systems and if there were problems with alcohol messing up fuel lines I am sure Evo would address that if it would happen. Alcohol destroys some rubber, not all. E85 will have no effect on any engine itself, as far as I am aware its only the fuel system
