Jodorowsky is saying really bad about 3D movie, but from what he is saying It seems that he has some prejudices about it. he is criticizing 3D's popping out effect , but it seems that he doesn't consider the 3d's deep-depth effect, which I think is more crucial aspect of 3D. Jodorowsky once said that when he tried to make 'dune' , he wanted it to be like taking LSD. Well, then, isn't 3D just for that ?

No, he meant LSD in the spiritual and mind expanding sense. 3D is just visual.

Come on, Jodo isn´t a saint. You should learn to read spanish, jodorowsky is speaking facts, Palestinians attack with rockets, Israelis never invaded, the UN and the British gave them disproportionally more land. Abrahamland is an irony or the one state solution.

This man is smoke and mirrors. he is self indulgent and painfully subjective to the point of meaninglessness. Jodo is the embodiment of meaningless modern art. He has nothing to tell us.

A man walks into a room. The room is covered with all sorts of colors, great swathes of paint and bits of mirror and twinkling lights, all gleaming in infinite hues. There are scraps of paper with written words, endless thoughts attached at all angles. There are moving pictures, too, with sounds and shapes, portraying so many different scenes. The man opens his phone and types "there is no meaning here" and walks away. You did not find meaning, but this does not mean there is none. Everyone other than you is not stupid for finding meaning in something you did not. Consider spreading joy instead! There isn't enough joy, and we could all share it. I don't revere Jodorowsky, but I respect him immensely for bringing his mind into the world, bringing his color out into the open, and doing it with a smile, to heal, to better. This is something anyone can learn. This is something he can tell us.

@@rosysyntaxYou have a point. Abstract or pretty art might bring the artist a sense of joy or personal meaning, that's fine. Jodo is respected and revered in his own small world, but his subjectivism and hermenuetical mysticism leaves most everyone else out.

@@fandude7 I don't see how his art leaves anyone out, other than maybe requiring a bit more thought if you want to get a deeper meaning from it? I'm curious what you mean by this (genuinely!). At worst, there's always an undeniable element of spectacle and beauty. Like, okay, his art is assuredly not for *everyone*, but I don't think that's a bad thing - we all have our tastes, y'know? Also, apologies if I came off a little harsh in my last comment (though to be fair, you did skewer the guy, just a tad). I just get a little riled up when I see people saying there's literally nothing to gain from a work of art, or an artist. Additionally, I definitely get how he could rub you and others the wrong way - the grandiose, cosmic, "magical" stuff can seem a little... insincere? Maybe that isn't the right word. There is perhaps an indulgent note to all of it, I guess. But it's not like it's a grift - you can tell the man has genuine warmth to him right? At least that's how I read him. Now, if you wanna talk about an artist with *almost* nothing to say, we can poke holes in Jeff Koons all day, lol.
