Nice! I have the prototype system when they were designing it and it’s only gotten better over the iterations 👍

Ordering this now! Thanks for the vid. What wheel spacers are you running? Did you keep original wheel studs?
@kaymach11 ай бұрын
They're h&r drm spacers. Very high quality. 20mm in front and 30mm in rear. Bolt ons. Original wheel studs, yes. Never rubs!
@seanweidner282611 ай бұрын
Really?! There's enough threads? Thanks for the info@@kaymach
@kaymach11 ай бұрын
@@seanweidner2826 ofcourse. it's a bolt on spacer. you're bolting a thick piece of metal to your existing studs and those will provide a different and new set of studs for your wheels to bolt onto. the whole point is that you don't lose any threads as opposed to a slip on
@seanweidner282611 ай бұрын
Last question, does this void warranty at all? Since this is CAT-back, we should be good right?
@seanweidner282611 ай бұрын
Right on. I was thinking of a different type of spacer... One that doesn't offer another set of bolts. But you've answered that for me that since we're adding 20mm from stock, we're thick enough to have additional bolts.@@kaymach

Sounds pretty amazing. Do you get any drone at 3-4k RPM? I've been holding out for Borla since that's what I had on my GR86, but this sounds good. Is the valve motor safe from moisture? I live in a wet sate and wouldn't want to ruin it by hanging it exposed.
@kaymach11 ай бұрын
the drone is exactly as it sounds in the drone test parts of the video. it's pretty 1:1. it's not much at all. can easily speak (as you'll hear). valve motor is getting moisture no matter what you do. there's condensation, fuel, and other particles that are constantly hitting inside the stock muffler and outside. I would say there's actually less exposure with how high this is tucked compared to stock

have you had it on the expresswy. cruising in 6th at 70, 75, 80? drone is definietly more annoying and tiresome after hours on the road at the same RPM not really the backroads in lower gears as you have shown. I would love to see a video of cruising at 65, 70, 75, and 80@@kaymach
@kaymach11 ай бұрын
@@nauticad22 I don't have any of that recorded, but the drone isn't different. Which is why I didn't bother recording it. What you hear drone wise as I'm driving around in 4th or 5th gear is the same.
@nicrandazzo75811 ай бұрын
do you get many exhaust burbles/pops. hard to tell of the audio sometimes.
@kaymach11 ай бұрын
audio is pretty much 1:1 with what you're gonna get. i'm using a good mic to record all the driving clips. no burbles 99% of the time. SOMETIMES, i'll hear a small one at the very low end of rpm's near idle on decel. as for pops, the closest you're gonna get is the rev limiter. it sounds very aggressive and cool with the exhaust. you can hear this at 16:46 and 18:09

Are you going to also get the midpipe they released?
@kaymach9 ай бұрын
no current plans. spent too much this year on car things lol. I believe the mid pipe makes it 10% louder and slightly slightly more growly tone

be sure to listen to the audio that explains my own zip ties that have nothing to do with their instruction
