SXTH Element's GR Corolla Armrest Installation

If you guys don’t like the top part of the armrest sliding forwards, then open the armrest, take one of the top screws in it out, use a drill to drill a guiding hole through the plastic to where the original hole was, and send the screw through it. It will basically stop the armrest from sliding on the top as the plastic part and the top are stuck together.

What is the point of the stiffening plate?

Well it's supposed to make the arm rest not wiggle, however it doesn't seem to achieve that so I have no idea either.

I ended up getting this plate I really don’t want to take apart the whole thing it still moves even with the plate atleast in the video

I’ve got this kit now and I’m currently installing it watching this video and the thing I just found that is flawed on the stiffening plate. It’s too thick to clear and enough space for those clips in the rear of that trim piece on the center console to sit down flush with the rest of the trim closing that gap so I’m just going to remove it if everyone else is saying, the stiffening plate doesn’t really do anything there really is no point to having it on there

My white clips do not fit my Corolla. They simply slide out immediately.

Mine did too, 24 premium. I pushed down hard and started applying the screw. It wound up sticking correctly once the screws were applied.

The screws will make those tabs expand and hold in place. Just push down and screw in

I just got this and The build quality is pretty bad. I would prefer the kit to use nuts and bolts instead of threading wood screws into plastic that can easily get stripped out.
