@@Russianbanjo I think the armour was supposed to look, light, limited investment in both research and material, be as effective for the cost, used by Synths (aka robot people that can replace limbs), and generally designed by scientists. Compare modern architecture to old architecture (Roman empire, Victorian England, French Gothic) Synth armour is the modern architecture of armour.

i personally use Military Fatigues with ballistic weave because you can still wear other armor pieces with it so you can just wear the best legendary effects because you have more than enough defense with the fatigues

It's a bit noisy when walking around, but the stats are fine. I usually end up wearing it mid game. Often I wear that Silver Shroud stuff as well. I'm just not a big time meta player.

The Marine has a 3rd way of obtaining and that swimming down to the lost cargo stuff and getting it there, which won't be an issue if you have the Aqualad or Aquagal perk or the diving suit

The marine armor can be found doing a misc quest on far harbor. Not sure how you get the misc quest but i got a quest to find the armor on one of my saves.

Ballistic Weave is the GOAT armor. You can even stack it with other armor if you put it on certain clothing that allows multiple pieces + top armor. Its possible to make armor sets stronger than power armor this way.

I've always loved the Assault Marine set. You can get it by swimming out to a boat by Far Harbor, where you can find the wetsuit and the armor set itself. It's my go-to set. The defenses are great and the suit looks badass.

@@escalanteteam7498 I don't remember the exact location (it's been like five years since I last played), but when you head out to Far Harbor, look out on the water as much as you can. If you see a boat anywhere out there, swim out and try to loot it. You should be able to find it. There's also some quest somewhere that should lead you to it, but I'm not too sure.

I really wish the marine armor had better designed shoulder guards. That’s like my one gripe with the marine armor set, the fact that ur actual shoulders are completely exposed cuz the shoulder guard stops AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SHOULDER.

First off, check if the armor is a (normal)(sturdy) or (heavy) variant because it drastically changes damage resistance and the look (wich does nothing) remove "misc" mods to see it, unaffected armor are: marine armor and some variants of the "raider pack armors" Edit: got a full heavy combat, metal, leather, synth and raider sets still need the "raider pack armors" robot armor, and trapper, marine is 3/6 legendary parts wich is the left/right arm and the helmet

Power armour finds are set at level intervals.😂 Go to all spots before hitting said level you will find more T45 then level more all T51, then again at the next level height you will get T60, then X01 Always been the same way except for the new X02 suit you can find since the update.😂

There's also the doom marine armor, it is exclusive to the creation club, but given that 3 of the armor mentioned are dlc exclusive it's valid. You get it right at the start and it has amazing defense stats for a 2 piece set and has one of the best defense to weigh ratios in the game, with a total weight of 23 between chest piece and helmet but when max level has 168 damage resistance, 150 energy resist, and 115 rad resistance.

Sir, all of the power armor suits drain fusion cores at the same rate. But T-60 is still a good set of power armor to get and is super easy to get as the game gives you a full set right after you join the brotherhood of steel

The Disciples metal armor is actually the most protective non power armor in the entire game but pays for that protection by being really heavy.

Overboss would be a more solid PA option. + Can be acquired early + Extremely powerful (On-par with a non-leveled X-01) + Really cheap to maintain (Fixing each piece only costs 3 steel) If you have all the DLCs, you can rush to get both this PA + Atom's Judgement to make an invincible melee build. This build can also be further upgraded by investing some points in the "Nuclear Physicist" perk.

Synth armor is underrated Its actually the best vanilla armor set (Better in energy resistance than leather and better in ballistic resistance than metal and much better than the combat armor) while being very light

For extra cheese, use something like Army or Military Fatigues with the ballistic weave on it with the Marine armor. I got it giving me over 200 ballistic and energy defense that way with the proper marine coating

Disciples metal and spiked are the best armor outside of power armor when improved at a workbench, the best power armor is easily X-01; though depending on how you played the game you might end up softlocking yourself out of being able to obtain it if you don't have Nuka-World. My preferred way of getting it though is waiting till I'm level 50 and clearing 32 court, it's a cool little hidden dungeon with a semi difficult bossfight

I started using the new Nuka Cola shirt w/ ballistic weave because it only takes up the legs in terms of armor, and then I put the legendary marine arms and torso on, and then a hat that also had ballistic weave. Then, it has the legendary slow time @ 20% health, increased movement, and has ~300 something DR for both kinds of resistance besides gamma

Ballistic weave mk5 baseball uniform with a full set of heavy synth armor is the best in the game and can be manufactured at your settlements. If you need more protection, use power armor

If someone go for creation club items, the DOOM marine armor is a curious case. It start in your inventory (a big miss because of its protection) and fully upgraded it's total damage protection is even better that the disiples heavy/spiked armor (the radiation dmage resistance helps a lot) but because you can't wear any underwear it gets totally outdate after obtain ballistic weave.

Ive nonstop used the mechanist armor with the metal helmet and sword addons cause the mechanists armor has 70 and the energy resistance is around 30 or 40 and the helmet is 40 defense and 25 or 30 energy too just makes it feel like i have insane vitality when genuinely have nothing put into it all charisma endurance and luck with a lil perception
