Hi Sydel! I have had 3 unmedicated natural births. And YES you can do it!! The contractions start small and build up, so you kind of get used to them as they build up in serverity. Breathing and having your significant other there, to encourage you and to help you push through especially when you hit your limit, is key, he will know how to help you more then anyone else can. I used warm water in jugs, while the crowning was happening the midwife pouring warm water down there took away the pain and eased me so much. Also had water bottle with rescue remedy in it to sip on. At the peak of labour I remember being told, not much longer and your baby will be in your arms. That alone when u are so sore and tired can turn u into the most determined and focused mumma out. You will hone in on everything you have been taught and learned and your instincts will take over and you find that last bit of strength you need to deliver your baby. I had a natural birth and the pain was similar to extreme period cramps. You can do it! Listen to your body and don’t let outsiders interfere with how you want to have your ideal birth! I believe in you!!! Many blessings ❤️❤️

Sydel....contractions are like menstrual cramps. They can be a little intense when they're coming back to back towards the end, but that's when you know your in the home stretch. In my experience I did the deep breathing to got me through it. Slow deep breath in and out until the construction passes. I highly recommend natural child birth it was by far the best experience I had giving birth. When the baby comes out all pain instantly goes away, it's really weard. I felt like I could do anything when it was over. This coming from a mom who had a c-section with the first delivery, an epidural with the second, and two natural births with the 3rd and 4th child. By far the most difficult were the first two, long story..etc. My body felt so much better after birth with the natural deliveries, and recovery as well. Also, I was 40 yrs old with the last lol. So there you have it...sorry so long winded lol. I just wanted to ad...no matter what plan you choose. This will be the most amazing experience of your life. So, don't about pain you'll do just fine. 😏

After my 2nd baby I just learned to go with the flow because at the end of the day the baby is gonna do what they want anyways 😆 I also have 4 and my 1st and 4th were the worse of the 4 and just like you it's a long story 🤣🤣

Never gave birth BUT what I do know is that there's no sense in being afraid. The baby HAS come out. Whether you help or not, he will come out lol your body knows exactly what to do. Remember, you were made for this 🧡.

I did natural childbirth twice! Was it hard - yes do I have any regrets - NONE!! My babies were healthy, alert and your body knows what to do and it naturally numbs itself. Try it -- when you think it is hard say 5 more minutes. Don't beat yourself up if you change your mind during labor. Most important thing is healthy baby and happy mama!

I like dress #2 and #4. Also, my second I had naturally and what really helped me get through is reminding myself that each contractions was one closer to baby. Telling myself I would never get that contraction again. You can do it! Can't tell you how beautiful and rewarding having an unmedicated birth was.

So for me, in the early stages of contractions/Labor my hubby & I slept 🛌 played spiritual music, talked to loved ones on the phone. As the intensity level elevated, I began to get irritable with the contractions, but begin to have self control over my breathing, self control of my thoughts, as the contractions got stronger and stronger, I kept the bigger picture at the forefront of my mind. Delivering a healthy baby. With every contraction I had, I would tell myself, I’m one step closer to babies arrival. It’s definitely a MENTAL battle. My husband was my cheerleader/nurse. I focused a lot on breathing, exercise, movements that helped ease the pain, like squats, bouncing on doula ball, putting the ball in between my thighs, putting my legs on top of the ball, walking around, going to the bathroom. Staying busy, steady moving until the grand finale

Hello, all the dress options were very cute so it’s a hard choice, I vote #4. Also my entire pregnancy was a wonderful experience and I was extremely nervous about the labor and delivery. My entire pregnancy I thought about the worse pain ever and it wasn’t as bad as I imagined. Honestly if you’ve ever had period cramps think of that. Only that the pain intensifies as you get further along.

For the wedding, go with the first pink dress; the soft color, and fit looks great on you! for the baby shower, go with a fitted dress or one that hug the stomach, it’s usually emphasizes the Bump more!

You’ve got this Sydel. I had two unmediated water births both with the same doula. They were beautiful experiences. You asked about contractions they feel like pressure and sometimes like period cramps I wouldn’t describe them as pain at any point. what helped me as a first time expecting mom was reading stories and talking to women who had unmediated births/ positive experiences. I saw what was possible and it empowered me. Having a doula was a huge help as well in both births. Praying for you! You’ve got this!

I had an epidural with my first child and zero medication with my second. It was the most amazing experience to feel my body taking over and do what it is meant to do. I was told to push once then told to stop. I stopped pushing, but baby girl was coming! My body took over and she was here within a matter of minutes . It’s painful, but you will find the strength to just push, bc baby HAS to come out! I’m happy for you guys and wish you the best!

#4 is soooo cute!! 😻💙 and yes I hated when people projected on me when I said I wanted a natural birth! To me, contractions are like a tightening and release of your uterus. But I also had back labor and that was more like a strain and the bottom of my back. Once you’re having them you probably won’t feel scared, just Determined to get your baby out! 🥰 just listen to your body.

I have silently suffered from depression since I was 5yrs old. I'm now 50. I pray alot. But I never talk to a professor ever. A shame very much. I'm a proud parents of 6 kids I raised them all by my self. They all are very successful thanks to god keeping me strong and very focused. The best way to describe contractions and birth from my experience is that is starts off as cramps about once every hour. Then you get another bad cramp pain in 45 minutes, then 40 minutes, until they get closer together. The cramps/pressure last about 45 seconds to 1 minute. The pressure feels more intense each time from stage 1 to 2 to 3, just like having a little bit more severe cramping (like on your period). Just remember this, when the cramps come breathe in your nose and out your mouth slow. Don't do all those small breathe they teach in la maze class. My doctor told me to breathe in my nose, out the mouth, and have something you focus on. Whether it is the TV in your room, a stuff animal, etc. When the contractions come focusing on one thing will help you tune others out, focus on the method of your breathing, and helps when you are cramping (contractions). Hope this helps.

I understood where you were coming from about the reasoning on why not choosing dress #1. I am not a ruffle person, it is great fun option for the shower. But it does scream more girl than boy because the focal point is the neckline. I will go for dress #4. It is fun and flowy and it gave the sam vibe as dress #1. Wishing you the best.

Sydel, contractions apart from the obvious feel like you’re prepared and built for it. Even though childbirth is agonising, it still feels natural, unlike tooth pain which feels like it’s of the devil 😆 There is something about contractions and childbirth that initiates this silent communication between you and God that you’ve never experienced, and all of you agrees with Him in that moment, telling him “I’m ready, I was physically created for this and I know that you will get me through it.”Part of your purpose initiates and you become sure about this one thing, even though you may have doubted millions of things in life. You realise you’re tougher than you think, your body is less fragile than you imagined, you’re braver than you believed you were. Then, when your bundle of joy arrives, you realise that your heart is bigger than you thought it was, confirmation that God truly lives reignites because you literally watch Him breathe the breath of life into this precious little being, and you also realise that your ability to love is actually endless, and so you continue to love from that moment on in this new untainted Christ Jesus inspired way. I was 17 when I gave birth. My daughter is 27 now.♥️

To me, contractions felt like cramps but much more intense. What helped me through my unmedicated birth the most was visualization, walking, squatting and deep breathing. The best advice I received was to go with my body and help it, not fight it. Honestly the baby will be born whether you want it to happen or not, your body will do what it needs to do whether you are on board or not, but how you participate in your experience is up to you. One visualization idea that worked for me was (this may sound corny) to imagine your uterus as a rosebud at first, and with each contraction it opens (dilates) a tiny bit more until the beauty of a fully bloomed rose is achieved and you have your baby. ♡ you got this.

I am obsessed with the tiered frill dress, but whatever you and baby feel comfortable in is the way to go. Also, I have had 2 1/2 natural births. My first child, I had an epidural but it wore off. My 2nd and 3rd I had natural. Forgive the TMI moment, but I felt like I really needed to go number 2 for my 2nd and 3rd births. There's some pressure buildup, but such a relief when you get to push. Our bodies are so amazing and we get to create life, definitely our superpower. You got this mama! Sending love and positive vibes!

Soooo contractions are different for everyone depending on your pain tolerance but it feels like cramps, like your stomach tightening. As for med free delivery- YOU CAN DO IT!! It’s mind over matter, breathe through contracts and focus. I did it THREE times and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
