This was one of the Citaro/O405NH's that got retired recently. I don't think I ever rode this particular number, but there were a fair few I remembered riding in the Eastern Suburbs (namely ones based at Port Botany and Waverley) that also got retired recently. Now the oldest Citaro/O405NH that still remains in service is 1116, which is based at Ryde. 1116 took over this title after Port Botany-based 1101 was retired at the end of January this year. The oldest one currently based at Port Botany (as of 1101's retirement) is 1120, while Waverley's current oldest one is 1277 after some buses from there were transferred to Port Botany. Ryde depot is also home to the last of the Citaro/O405NH fleet to be built, which is 1405.
