My husband was posted in Australia with the U.S. Navy during Anzac Day eighteen years ago. He said it was the most moving tribute to those who gave their all. As American I join in remembrance of your brave soldiers and their fierce fight and tremendous lose during the First World War and all soldiers that were injured or died in subsequent wars. May their sacrifice never be forgotten.

My condolences to the genocide of millions of Aboriginals in Australia, Indigenous in Canada, Natives in America & Maori of New Zealand who lost their lands the British, American and Australian white walkers. All stolen land. Millions slaughtered. Stolen Generations Aboriginal children forcefully separated from parents and forced to attend church where they were told to dress and behave like whites or get punished for practicing their cultural dances and customs. Children not allowed to practice dream time, forced to speak English and punished for speaking their natural tongue! Aboriginals chained by the neck, forced slavery to work in plantations and farms. Aboriginal incarceration and deaths in custody!

I heard the Last Post played at the Menin Gate Ypres. It's played every evening at 8.00pm every single evening. Played by the Buglers of the Fire Station. So moving.

It's sad to think that so many Australians willfully give up their freedoms and rights that many fell for, it's sad. Thank you for all those people that fell for our country. Thank you to those people whom serve now and have served and have returned home. May God bless you all.

the Gallipoli campaign happened in ww1 at the Gallipoli persnisula of Turkey. Where the AIF was supposed to be dropped hundred of kilometres to the north, many hours earlier, on flat open beaches. So that whilst the royal navy tried to force the straits of the Dardanelles, the AIF could sweep down behind the defences of the coast and mount a massive diversionary attack to take all the attention away. Only. The navy got LOST. so by the time they even sighted land with their human cargo, they ALREADY KNEW the navy's attack on the Dardanelles had already happened. And failed. Plus,.looking at the coast, the royal navy realised they were also MASSIVELY off course. So instead of heading home and calling it off because the BRITISH NAVY fucked up, instead. They dumped the entire invasion force into the fucking teeth of prepared defences, sheer cliffs and scree, scrabble. Machine guns, mortars and arty, barbed wire too. So the Australians, new Zealanders all fucking died almost for nothing, in a campaign that was a failure before they even GOT to fight, all because the fucking BRITISH decided FUCK IT, DUMP THE COLONIALS ANYWAY. The Turks could not believe the sheer waste of the Brits, nor the tenacity and heart of the Aussies. To the point that they ceded the peninsula post war to us as a permanent war memorial. To remember just how many young Aussies and turks died for the fucking VANITY of British officers. Who never faced justice for their fucking EVIL gross crimes.

Sorry old fruit but a lot of that is a load of overly emotional, misguided, bollocks. Go read some authoritative sources rather than do such a disservice to so many.
